I've been watching The Real since the beginning it's kinda refreshing watching how each person has grown since the start of the show, like how Adrienne was the wild young one with the dark tan, Jeannie was more reserved and polite and Loni was the comic relief/Frisky Auntie and now they are finally showing the real them or who they have really become

I’ve been there too. A lot of women grow up being told we need to be independent, take care of ourselves, and not rely on anybody only to end up in relationships with men who want to feel needed and grow up being told to take care of their woman. There are songs marketed to women about being independent. It’s celebrated…until it’s not. Then it’s a problem. And a lot of us are so independent because we HAD to be. I understand now though. We have to balance being able to take care of ourselves with allowing people to be there for us
When there is a snore, it means there is either a blockage or narrowing in the airway. The tongue can also cause a snore. That can cause your oxygen to drop when sleeping. I'm graduating as a respiratory therapist in 2 months and worked in the sleep lab. I thought it was normal also until I had clinics in the sleep lab. Even a light snore can cause oxygen levels to drop. Some have mild to severe cases but you will not know for sure until you get a test. The home tests are less costly and some insurances cover it. Just spreading the knowledge.

as an only child and an introvert, i’m not used to being around people and talking to people everyday. so when i met my boyfriend, it was draining at first to talk to one person consistently everyday, which is why I wasn’t really open to dating in the first place. I love being alone, and I love being quiet and keeping to myself. My boyfriend is the opposite, grew up as the youngest of 4 kids and has a lot of cousins. He would call me constantly throughout the day (still does) but I realized that that is his love language. We’re long distance and we don’t get to see each other as often as we’d like. His love language is physical touch and quality time, he shows it by talking on the phone with me all day because we can’t physically be in each other’s presence. I found it kind of clingy at first, but now I can’t fall asleep at night without hearing him snore on the phone.
I’m loving this season too much.. it was hard during the pandemic especially with a new member but I think you all are finally fully acquainted and it shows. Love this! To echo the comments, I LOVE these girl chats. I had stopped watching when everyone was Zooming in. This feels so personal and like I'm at happy hour with them. AND I think there was some training, because no one is talking over people, and they're all intentional about each person answering the question. The Real is back!
Physical touch is a love language for both me and my partner. We are that "reach a toe out to touch while sleeping" type. We crave cuddles, back rubs, hugs, etc. Because we match in that way, we work really well. We're also pretty clingy emotionally too, but again, it works for us. It used to drive him crazy when I would text him if he was late coming home - he'd say things like "I said I'm on my way, traffic was bad" or he stopped at the store or whatever. I did it cause I missed him. Now, its reversed, and I love teasing him and reminding him that he couldn't understand why I did it, lol. That doesn't mean we don't have alone time - we both get plenty of that, we spend time doing our own things at home almost every day, we even get a chance to be completely away from each other (depending on work schedules) throughout the week.

Jeannie, that's called avoidant. It's not good. It's an insecure attachment style. I know because I have it, and I work against it everyday. The most insiduous part of it is ignoring yourself, like not acknowledging when you feel pain, to yourself.

I don’t check in with my husband for permission, I want to be considerate and ask him if he will have something to do while I’m gone. If he will be okay while I’m away, not because either of us is needy, but because we love each other and he would do the same for me. He always ask me if he can do things so I can find something to do while he’s away. We’ve both been in a bad place mentally and we both know that so we are always trying to be considerate of one another. I’ve never thought being considerate or trying to cherish someone was “clingy” or “needy”.
Ok… I’m gonna go somewhere different with this but I think there’s a difference in showcasing interest and taking a person serious when you like them versus completely being a obsessive and can’t take no for a answer ! I think there are people that like put all their energy into someone and then when they notice they may be coming off strong… they back off a little bit but still show that they are interested bit by bit & I like that ! It’s the people that don’t know they’re overbearing and overwhelm you to the point where they start asking where we’re you and wondering like “ why haven’t you texted me 45 mins ago “ like stage 5 clingers are too much for me lol I’m ok with those who can take social cues and common sense… but the people that are completely oblivious and can’t pick up on whether or not someone is uncomfortable with said clingy actions!
I can agree with that but I also think real conversation can help that situation. Sometimes ppl react or do things based on their past relationship (not saying it's right) but it does happen. If a guy is calling you too much it could be because he is clingy or it could be because that was the expectation/requirement of his last relationship. Just saying...have a conversation and see if certain behaviors change.

If he will be okay while I’m away, not because either of us is needy, but because we love each other and he would do the same for me. He always ask me if he can do things so I can find something to do while he’s away. We’ve both been in a bad place mentally and we both know that so we are always trying to be considerate of one another. I’ve never thought being considerate or trying to cherish someone was “clingy” or “needy”.

Ok… I’m gonna go somewhere different with this but I think there’s a difference in showcasing interest and taking a person serious when you like them versus completely being a obsessive and can’t take no for a answer ! I think there are people that like put all their energy into someone and then when they notice they may be coming off strong… they back off a little bit but still show that they are interested bit by bit & I like that ! It’s the people that don’t know they’re overbearing and overwhelm you to the point where they start asking where we’re you and wondering like “ why haven’t you texted me 45 mins ago “ like stage 5 clingers are too much for me lol I’m ok with those who can take social cues and common sense… but the people that are completely oblivious and can’t pick up on whether or not someone is uncomfortable with said clingy actions!
I can agree with that but I also think real conversation can help that situation. Sometimes ppl react or do things based on their past relationship (not saying it's right) but it does happen. If a guy is calling you too much it could be because he is clingy or it could be because that was the expectation/requirement of his last relationship. Just saying...have a conversation and see if certain behaviors change.
