i just bought his updated 2020 version, his modified logical order of decree makes the most sense, i 100% agree
can we be more logical than God? certainly not

Interesting. There was no answer on where Dr james White stands on infra or supra. That was part of the question...what are his thoughts and where does he stand. His thoughts are shared, but no answer on where he stands.

Calvinism double-predestination is unbiblical and thus not taught in Scripture. I believe in predestination and election but not according to Calvinism's interpretation. Perhaps some Calvinists could help me by providing biblical evidence to support this theory of double-predestination . Thank you.

James White trying to be an inconsistent double Calvinist, which is what Calvin actually taught.

The explanations surrounding double predestination, equal ultimacy and the place of meticulous divine determinism in the lives and EVERY action of the elect and reprobate, often just point out the watering down of the conclusions found within the writings of Calvin and co themselves in order to try to give a more logically cohesive answer to the masses. (even in parts of the Reformed Creeds) Its all just a play on words that never clears up the clear "problem" that meticulous determinism inevitably causes.
Whatever form of compatibilism one holds to in whatever form of Calvinism, the inherent contradiction caused by the determinism in whatever form, still holds.
    "it's not a contradiction, it is a mystery, a paradox"... (I don't buy it) 😉

While you have your critique of Calvinism you yourself have an issue. You don’t know why you chose to believe.

@@ShepherdMinistry my Mum took me to Church when I was young: I was exposed to the life of the Spirit in the Church as a child, and, as C.S Lewis said, I 'caught the good infection'. Later on in life I rediscovered the uniqueness of Christ, via (mainly, I have no doubt) her desperate prayers for me. And now she is with her Lord! God bless her! I love Him because He first loved me... however in the complexity of this highly relational universe that exactly works out.

@@emilesturt3377 You believe because of your moms will? Because you had a parent that took you to church and because of her prayers. So, you’re stating her prayers were answered by God and He changed your heart to believe?

@@ShepherdMinistry no, she took me to church, I was then exposed to the word and through the word of life I came to living faith because faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. His prevenient power, through His word, called... and I responded.
