    I took the 8x4 ft. Sections and simply attached it it the chain link fence with some wire heavy enough gauge to hold it permanently. They can together nicely and I have vines growing on them. Posts and digging may have complicated your project...?? Your final result is very attractive! 😁👍

    • @57colliegirl

      You should continue it all across that fenced side.

    When we brought our house we put wood trellis with zip ties 25 years ago. Last year we took them down because they rotted , so we put double panels of the white plastic trellis with zip ties to the chain link fence . The trellis panels on the chain link fence looks really nice, clean and give us lot of privacy. We did not have to dig holes or put post in the ground. We put the panels to a 6 feet hight everyone's really likes our backyard , clean white on the fences and lots of privacy no maintenance and zip ties are cheap.

      We just did the same thing! Thought we were only ones to do this as I couldn't find any videos on you tube. The zip ties hold the panels so firmly.

    You should haunch the post mix up the post a little, so water drains away from the base to prevent it rotting out as quick.

  • @Mrs.TJTaylor

    Much better! I’d want to hide the neighbor’s moldy shed too. Or at least spray it down with bleach water. Pull the broken white chain link fence slats to the top of the fence so that the hole is at the bottom then plant something pretty to cover the hole.

    • @wholeshebang1
      @wholeshebang1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pouring toxic bleach onto grass and soil kills any insect life and grass, may poison birds or small animals, and it'll eventually make its way into natural waterways.

    • @Tinyteacher1111
      @Tinyteacher1111 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don’t use bleach. It only kills the stain, not the mold! Use vinegar!

      Yeah, my neighbour has a "junk fence" that's been an eyesore for 27 years. During COVID, he added a _lime green_ "shed" with a bed in it to add to the visual noise. This video has helped me because I'm going to build a similar privacy fence out of salvaged lattice & wood for posts & trim. A dozen mature trees, including a beautiful, 150-yr-old, 100'-tall willow, that had obscured the eyesore, had to be removed 2 weeks ago, after the willow split down the centre during a wind storm, with 1 half crashing onto my shed, and the other balancing on the corner of a different neighbour's flat roof (only membrane damage).

    Um, wouldn't it been easier to replace your he slats that get inserted into the fence, plus it would more unform. Just saying. Now you just made part of your land unusable

      I did both. I built it more to grow vines on and to get a "privacy wall" at the same time

    Good video but you need to consider your language. The word “Holy” should be held to the highest standard.
