Thanks for the review. It was very helpful. A couple of questions... I am 5ft 11in tall too and shoe size 11UK. Would the issue with the accelerator pedal be a reason for me not to get this car? I too plan on getting it for the purpose of converting it for camping, and long road trips. I'm thinking about the comfort aspect, especially for long drives. What is the mileage on the car on the highways? Do you think it would be a good car for the hills? Is the AC good? About the modification part... do you need to register it as a campervan if you modify it? I know here in TN we are not permitted by the RTO to remove the seats to change into a bed platform. Wondering what the rules are in MH...
1. I'm 5.11 and the length of the bed can accommodate me perfectly with room to spare. 2. The Accelerator Pedal and wheel arch issue is not a deal breaker for me as I don't wear shoes which are extended too much in the front. 3. The ride is bumpy when there is no load in the van. But the moment it's loaded it's much more comfortable. If you plan to convert it into a camper van then the weight of the wood and the supplies which you store in it will make it much more comfortable for long journeys. 4. Right now I'm getting 15 kmpl (city & highway combined) when driving very conservatively. Driving on highways only the mileage should increase by 2-3 kilometers. 5. The AC performed very well even in the heat waves of last summer. 6. The cars performance in the hills is exceptionally good. It never feels like it's lacking power even with load. 7. As far as my Knowlegde goes, you don't need to register it as a campervan as long as there are no permanent modifications inside. Regarding the seat removal rule I'm not sure what the rules are in maharashtra.
Good review and glad you have done it in English. Here in the UK, I had the same van. It was known as Suzuki Carry and mine was the higher roof imported version. Same as the Maruti Versa. Look forward to more videos on your van! Thanks for sharing.
True sir, it's a practical utility vehicle. So you have ample options to modify per your requirement. But yes, power steering, wiper speeds, head light adjustments etc should have been provided by the manufacturer. Sometimes I feel Maruti should combine Wagonr and Eeco
Yes bro. Engine noise is certainly louder than other vehicles but not to that level where you cannot have a conversation without shouting. With the AC on and windows shut it's quite silent.
Looking to buy this car for family and my own business purpose ill be only driving all the time. Is the steering comes to auto return to the center? Or we have to counter steer?
I am using 2017 model AC 5 seater. I do find it’s a very Comfortable car for family as well. Performance is also good on off road but only not satisfied with the mileage. Pls do a mileage test with and without AC if possible. Possibly going switch to new Eeco if mileage is appropriate
This van would have been a great success if the issues you raised were taken care of , since this obsolete model has been in the Indian market for too long. This vehicle would have been more appealing if the looks have changed. Am not sure if there's a similar capacity vehicle available in Indian market yet. Good vlog.👍
Good review sir , I have only one question , If the engin is under the seat , does the engin heat penetrates inside . Do you feel the heat in the seat in long rides ?? .
Bro I don't feel the heat from the engine at all. The only thing is that the base of the handbrake gets warm which means some amount of engine heat gets throught to the cabin.
I think that varies based on requirements... There are some people who go for off-grid modifications and some who just opt for a bed and kitchen conversion. I guess it just depends on what kind of camper you want...
You can watch my video explaining the modification of my van which will be releasing soon. Prices of my modification will be mentioned in detail there.
Thanks for the review. It was very helpful.

Hi Jonathan … Nice review. I have question. How about the Engine noise while driving. Because Engine is under the driver seat.
Bro you have to turn it back physically. It does not return on it's own.

Bro how much mileage are you getting at the moment?
Bro haven't u taken the test ride before buying all the shortcomings in car you mentioned should be felt or noticed in test ride. No?
Yes brother. I took a test drive of the van before buying it. But in this budget there is no other Van.
This van would have been a great success if the issues you raised were taken care of , since this obsolete model has been in the Indian market for too long.
This vehicle would have been more appealing if the looks have changed.

Yes brother. I agree with you 100%
Maruti should launch a triber like vehicle..eeco modified....

On road price bro?
6 lakhs
How much do you think it'll cost to convert this into a camper?
I think that varies based on requirements... There are some people who go for off-grid modifications and some who just opt for a bed and kitchen conversion. I guess it just depends on what kind of camper you want...
You can watch my video explaining the modification of my van which will be releasing soon. Prices of my modification will be mentioned in detail there.

This car will topple if given Power steering
Bro power steering is not the reason cars topple. I'll speak about this in my upcoming video.
