  • A perfect creative project to try at home. your only limit is your imagination.
    What you will need:
    Camera
Small Fish Tank filled with water
Flower or whatever you want as your subject.
    Acrylic Ink
    Syringe ...
Make sure you anchor your flower to the bottom of the fish tank with a weight or else it will float in the water.
Squirt your ink directly onto the flower taking care to only use a little.
Gradually add different coloured ink untill the layers build up.
Just keep taking lots of photos of different stages.
    Shot in natural window light.
Adjust your camera settings to suit your lighting conditions.
Don't be afraid to have a high ISO.. sometimes grain is good.

How did you secure the flower to the bottom of the tank?

Oh wow... that was such a long time ago. I just tied the flower to a bolt to weigh it down. 😂

Nice video Debbie thanks a lot. One question I can see your reflection in the glass while you are taking a shot. How do you overcome this. By using flash ?. Cheers

When I take the photos I adjust the exposure in the camera so you cannot see reflection. .. no flash needed.

Is that a fabric flower? Hobby Lobby? I planned of doing this style for my photo challenge this week and came across your video. I’ve done this before but not with a flower. Thanks for any info you have 😀
