3 New Criminal Laws Kick In, Govt & BJP Hail 'Swadeshi' Laws, But Opposition Says 'Bulldozed'

The three criminal laws - Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam - came into effect in the country on Monday, bringing far-reaching changes in India's criminal justice system. Praising the new laws, Amit Shah said that India's criminal system is becoming completely "Swadeshi" and embedded in Indian ethos. We are joined by emminent panleist to disscuss the issue.
