    I love my 2205! I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. Its the only one I've ever loved so much.

      I love my 2205 too and I own an original 1971 Superlead and a 1987 Silver Jubilee. Still love my 2205 BEST,

      I agree! I just got a 2205. Mostly because it’s Michael schenkers favorite amp and I’ve owned just about every Marshall head.

      You are absolutely right! 2205 and 2210 are the direct 2-channel successors of the 2203 1-channel series, so the sound hasn't deteriorated but improved.
      I play/love my 1982 2205 to this day - the sound is UNBEATABLE even on "10"... Friedmann, Randall, Blackstar and other imitators can't keep up with Marshall's basic aggressiveness.
      Marshall simply offers the best dynamic result when you strum the guitar. And that's why only use passive pickups like EVH Frankenstein or EVH Wolfgang, DiMarzio Super Distortion or Seymour Duncan!

    The 2210 slays! Just meaner and fuller tighter low end. I’m partial to the 2210 because I own one,lol. I usually run it lil weird , i have the ch volume at 2-3 0clock and the master 11 o’clock. Channel gain cranked . I’m running 6550’s as well so it just massive . Kudos cool vid

    The 2203 is definitely cleaner but I'd go with either one!! The 2205 and 2210 can be modified to either remove the clipping or to adjust the amount you wish to deal in. Truly a beast either way!!!

    Hi..To me the 2205 is best..I have owned probally 6-7 Marshalls ..istill have a 800..but the 2205 with 2-6550 tubes was the best..it was from the first run with the brownish cloth like yours..Thanks ,,,Dave

    2203 for the win. They are very different beasts, although all are JCM 800's.

      Janne Väätäinen very different...and i agree 2230 is the best starting point...pure and beautiful aunch...80s punch...i dont like to much gain....

    • @firstboyonthemoon8876

      Yep, all have that great 800 tone. When isolated as here, we can hear a difference but in a recording mix or live band experience, probably wouldn't hear a difference.

    Thanks, i have a 4211 combo, its same 2210...love it. Mine has a bass noise, I think isnt normal, now the amp is being repaired by a expert. I hope the noise gone. :)

    • @jimrockmusic
      @jimrockmusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i have a 4211 too, he has a killer sound. My amp has a problem, at low volume you can hear the clean channel in the overdrive channel. It seems to be a default of this kind of amp

  • @thomasplooij9795
    @thomasplooij9795 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Sounds awesome! Only the master should really be at 5 to get those 100 watters to open up, really engages the low and high end and the distortion saturates better

    Cool demo! I think the 2205/2210's sound mean and punchy - classic 80's Marshall clang! The 2203 ALWAYS needs a pedal to get that kinda gain.

    • @jimrockmusic

      yes, with a pedal the 2203 is cool, but you can put a pedal on the 2210 too, i do it and it sound good
