  • A quick tour of my Camp Kitchen setup in a Gazelle G5 Gazebo. I have used this setup for years when going on camp outs that are 3 to 7 days in length. Take a look and let me know what you have for a kitchen setup for longer camp outs, rv camping, overlanding.

I’ve had mine for many years, in some occasions I’ve also used it as a tent but I have to be careful where I do this, never in bear country which I do a lot and don’t want to have food around or the smell of cooking in my sleeping area. I actually slept under mild rain and although not ideal was all I brought, as long as I stayed away from the walls (with the coverings) I was dry, I McGiver an extra panel for an entrance, I don’t know if the new ones are different but in mine I have to attach the door panel with carabiners since it doesn’t have Velcro (just for the entrance) which makes it a little tricky to get out but doable. For those of you women that are wondering if you can do it yourself this 67 year old woman does it with no issues, just stake the bottom temporarily to hold in place and pull, afterwards you can readjust the stakes. Thanks for the video.

Once I got mine setup this year I was shocked how much room I had in there. For a longer campout and even a yearly trip where we have a cabin it will now definitely be coming with. Made organizing my food and kitchen so much easier with the benefit of extra storage space and a extra chair spot if I wanted it.

I’ll be doing a video of that setup soon. I sleep on a cot with a 3 inch sleeping mat. Depending on the weather, I either use a top quilt or a sleeping bag. Plus I have a wool blanket in case it gets really cold.

I have the Gazelle G5 Gazebo, which I also use for my camp kitchen. I have a Lifetime 4-foot Folding Fish Filter Cleaning Table with a sink and counter. I use the Dometic GO water faucet, the Dometic GO water jug, and a 5-gal jug below the sink drain to catch the water. I camp in bear country, so unfortunately I have to keep all the food stored in the car. Luci Solar String Lights would be a great clamping addition😃

Sounds like a great setup. I like the idea of having a sink for cleanup, I have a collapsible one I take with me but usually do cleanup away from the camp kitchen to keep animals away (I leave my unsecured food in the car as well.) Luckily I do not need to deal with bears where I am at, but the raccoons have no fear and I usually see signs they have been around the campsite the next morning.. The Luci lights I use are 44 feet long so I curse myself every time I have to wrap them around the poles since it can be a pain, but I keep doing it because I love the look and having a nice low light in the Gazebo overnights. Thanks for watching and the comment.

Nice video. I have a cargo minivan that I’ve set up as a camper. I’m thinking of screen tent for a kitchen & bug free sitting: either like the one you showed, or a more square 6’x6’ one made by Clam. I’m not quite as tall as you, how was it to set up alone? How long is the bag that holds your screen tent poles & all?

It is really easy to setup by myself. Each side pops open like an ice fishing tent with hubs and poles already installed. When collapsed in the bag it is about 5 feet 3 inches long. Thanks for watching and the comment.

@@BarnYardOutdoors thx, that should fit in a long space in my minivan where I keep my folding bamboo topped table.
