- Sunday January 9, 2011. The Last Show dead center HD view for all fans! The entire cast takes to the stage one final time for Closing Night in New York City! An emotional evening for all, Lin Manuel Miranda says (or raps I should say!) a few words at the end after the final bows. Joining the current Broadway cast is the 'In the Heights Alumni' including the cast which opened the show on March 9, 2008. Congratulations to everyone involved with In the Heights. This isn't the end...... just the beginning. Thank you Lin.

Seriously, how can you not love Alex. Alex, Tommy, Chris. I just get the feeling Lin is an amazing spirit and only surrounds himself with positive, energetic people. I just feel that the world is such a better place with Lin in it. I'm truly grateful to love musical theater and get to witness this genius literally grow up in front of our eyes
@@btoal2001 Be Great if we had more people like them right now. I feel the same way. I was 15 when In the Heights debuted. I’ll be 28 next month. I plan on seeing Hamilton on Disney Plus. But I’ve seen almost everything Lin has done. This beautiful musical to start with. Then Mary Poppins Returns, Star Wars, Moana, Odd Life of Timothy Green and Ducktales
I'm so heartbroken cause I never got a chance to see this phenomenal show. My entire high school thespian troupe is trying very hard to see if we could convince our sponsors into letting us perform this show next year; that way "that little white kid is gonna know what the Puerto Rican flag is!" i’m trying not to cry lol but this musical honestly changed my life and it’s currently being done at my school. my first musical, the last thing I need to break out of the chains that are social anxiety while also learning to love and embrace my hispanic heritage even further

I was SO upset when this closed. Devestated. I never got to see the show. Luckily I get to see the national tour cast when they come to my state in June. I wish I could have seen Lin Manuel as Usnavi but he's a busy man haha

I was there! I went to both the matinee and this performance... had to see the last 2 shows! I never cried so hard in my life. And I clapped so hard, I broke through skin on my hand! LOL Thanks Lin, for putting REALITY on Broadway and representing for all of us Latinos! NO PARE! SIGUE, SIGUE!

IN THE HEIGHTS was a landmark night in the theater for me. What an electrifying experience !! I Can't help it get choked up watching this last curtain call, being the son of an actor, I remember how Dad would sometimes get on closing nights.
Regardless, my best wishes to Mr.Miranda and everyone involved in this beautiful project..may God bless you all, and the best fortune all of your future venues.

I just saw the movie In The Heights last week, and I'm already in love with the songs, but I can't believe so many people knew about it for 10 years! FOMO much?
I was 15 when it opened on Broadway. It took me two years to see it
dude in Middle School an eighth-grader played Usnavi. Those nights were the best and we had a lot of fun. People even said it was going to be difficult, but we made it. Even Carla from the original cast came to our school and we performed for her and she said it was amazing.
I was in 8th grade when the show opened on Broadway
This was one of the best nights of my life.
Tri-Cities High School recently put on In the Heights (which I saw 3 nights in a row (yes it was that spectacular)), and I wish Lin-Manuel Miranda could've seen it. I wish it could've came to the Fox, and I wish I could've heard about this musical years ago.

Lin is the greatest Broadway voice to have emerged in my lifetime - I am 47 - and I cannot wait for his next projects and the ITH FILM. Thanks again.

Yesterday was the 10th anniversary of In the Heights bidding farewell. Still cannot believe the show only ran on Broadway for 3 years. I was a month away from turning 18 when this happened. And you gotta love how Lin does a speech!
