- Alpha FLTA005, a mission called Noise of Summer, supports Firefly’s Venture-Class Launch Services Demo 2 contract with NASA that serves to validate the capabilities of launch vehicles that support a new launch class and provide more access to space for small satellites and spacecraft. Firefly will conduct Alpha FLTA005 as another responsive space operation, which includes transporting the payload fairing to the launch pad and mating it to Firefly’s Alpha rocket within hours of the scheduled liftoff, compared to weeks in a typical operation.
The Alpha FLTA005 Noise of Summer mission is prepared to launch no earlier than July 1, 2024, 2024. A 30 minute window begins at 9:00PM PST.
NSF will provide Livestream Production Services for this launch.

Morgan's commentary was very interesting and informative.
I live in a windy area and henceforth will refer to wind as "non required loading". No doubt someone will give me a strange look and say "What?".
Fingers crossed for the next launch attempt.
It's better to have a scrub than a failed launch!!!!!
Awesome, perfect example of why they are called launch attempts! loved the coverage NSF, nice attempt on the recycle count! GO FIREFLY!!
Well, at least the ground equipment and not rocket that's having the problem. They need edit the video mark it (SCRUB) on it.
Fantastic coverage NSF and Firefly. John and Morgan brilliant commentary and technical details. Pleasure to watch and listen to! Although a scrub, very professional. Well done to everyone!
Thank you! Glad we could share with yall! - John
Emotional support strain gauges! 😁 Morgan, you are an inspiration!
Absolutely incredible coverage even though this attempt was scrubbed. These two professionals delivered throughout the entire broadcast. Morgan represented Firefly impeccably well all the while Das directed an incredibly entertaining, informative, well organized stream. See you both on the next launch attempt. Class acts!
I completely agree! Professional and very well done.
Good evening from Santa Barbara, CA where we can watch the launch from our backdoor
BUMMER LOTS of clouds coming inland from beach!!
Great stream, Morgan and Das! Challenging time for us EDT-ers, but we're here for you. Better luck tonight. BTW very nice Firefly-centric intro/outro!👍👍
Thanks! (Das)
Thanks!
News channels in Los Angeles reporting rocket launch California tonight at 9:04 pm what happened to launch?
This was last night, and the mission was scrubbed after 2 holds.
Adam praying at the end is amazing. I know he really wasn’t but the look is oh soooo good.
Been outside almost one hour no rocket across sky!!
Is this a rerun????
No watching you soar today.
Will I be able to see in California?
Is it a no go?

Is there a launch tonight?
Double scrubbed so no.
Sorry about it 😔
7:02 yall 😂😂😂
What's going on people
DS double scrub
Wait! Hold on guys, I'm waiting for this in L.A. 😢
What happens in a situation like this? How much later of a date do we reschedule? Does Vandenberg reimburse you for renting the launch pad?
Launch is rescheduled for tomorrow 7/2 at 9:03pm pacific, so same time as this attempt.
As for your second question, Firefly is leasing the pad from Vandenberg Space Force Base for continued operations, not just today’s launch attempt, so there is no money transfer involved.
Can't wait for 2nd try
58:28 Did I hear "investigate the helium"? This seems to be trending these days... *strlnr*
send in a fixer
No it doesn't! Why isn't there "SCRUB" in the title?
because it literally *just* scrubbed a few minutes ago and the title hasnt been updated yet
Damn all this wait for nothing😢
Why is it still projecting 9:33 Pacific time at 10:08 Pacific time? How much does it cost to update a website?
