You can go to our videos list and watch the videos on the work I did on the inside, trimming inside gables, loft floor, log faces on the kitchen walls, and the complete switch back stairs. Hope you enjoy them. God bless you

    That's a great trick to make the interior wall look like a full log wall.
    You guys should move that switch over. The owner is probably saying he'll live with it, but he's going to have to look at that for the rest of his life.

      @@TheBeardedCarpenter You had said in another video that he was doing his own electric work, but he must have laid it out wrong.
      Being an electrician that would drive me crazy every time I looked at it. All he needs to do is drill a few holes with a one inch auger bit, then clean up the hole with a chisel. He may have to chisel out some groves for the wires to lay in then slide the box over, and then cut a block to fill in the hole.

    Good Find Wayne, I like the look. I did a small area like this and I put black plastic on the slabs so when the log checks, you do not see beyond the slab but I did not glue so you are ahead of me and should have no problems with the slab checking, you got them in right.

    • @TheBeardedCarpenter
      @TheBeardedCarpenter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheBeardedCarpenter You Spent a lot of time doing it right, I think the checks will be few with the glue and nailing strips. I like it, no saw mill but options and planning on doing on mine tool shed cabin. Like you said I think 7 or 9 log buildings at your place, so I need a larger tool shed, well I think I will have enough to built the size I want and enclose the porches and then face the stud walls with slabs.Thanks for sharing, any luck with template? Anyway you could do one and let us see the end result. I think they nailed it.

    The interior walls match up great with the main log walls. You and your friend did a great job making those boards look like real logs. The chinking gaps look good as well. You sure give me great options to seriously consider for my own projects. Blessings to you in Jesus name brother.

    Great job. I have used invert board and batten to make doors, but never thought this for internal walls.
    I guess it would be great for me to use this method in my shed, but no chinking. Instead change 2 colors while staining on board and batten in realtion with the shed 2 color scheme.
    Thanks!

      Howdy y’all- thank you so much for watching the video and for the nice comment. I did this years ago on a historical restoration and it looked just like the rest of the log walls so we decided to try it with a new approach and it worked out really well. Sure wish you the best with your project. God bless you
