Jamie and John's increased involvement plus the addition of Polly and Rebekah to the band has taken their songs to a new level. It might be barely noticeable to some but seeing them rely less on backing tracks and lean more towards playing all the instruments organically as much as possible (such as in TOOTIME) really makes them shine individually and as a band.
I live for these comments, people who see past the cosmetics of the band and recognise how well crafted the songs are and the subtle parts that add to the dynamics

@@PC-ww4hw Yes, John plays the saxophone. Jamie is the one behind Adam and he plays the guitar and keyboard as well as the primary backing vocal. Rebekah is the other percussionist beside George and Polly is the one who sings Carly's part in About You apart from Toronto and London where Carly showed up.

My heart aches every time About You comes on shuffle but I keep the song on repeat because it feels painfully good to know that he connected me with such a beautiful masterpiece. This song is 100x better live. The drums, bass and guitars sound so much more crisp and the song has some actual weight and rhythm to it. Love the hazy, smoke-filled, silhouette-heavy look of the stage too. Only thing I like more from the album version is Carly Holt.

I can't say this more than enough but they're truly At Their Very Best now, everything from the stage design to the sound engineering is perfection. It's honestly insane how much effort they have put in reinventing themselves on this tour so far and the best thing is that they're just getting started. Can't wait to see you guys. ❤️
