One of my all time fav movies. Had it on VHS, even with that line on the top of the screen. Wore the heck out of it. Had a Mongoose BMX like what Cruz had in this movie, back in the 1980's.
If you did not get to experience the entire aura of the 1980s, you completely missed out on life it was the greatest time in history to be alive. We got to see it all from the Atari 2600 spandex BMX racing and freestyle the greatest summers of all time and kids allowed to just be kids, the 80s what is the most amazing time ever the best music the technology boom the best television shows the best of everything no decade will ever be able to touch the 80s
Yup I wore out my VHS copy as a kid and racing BMX damn it I’m scared to know how many time I watched this movie. I remember dirt bike kid was the preview “and you’ll flip for the dirt bike kid!” And the sound track FORGET ABOUT IT - I can still listen to the two main songs and enjoy them to this day
Kid's now a day's are not getting enough romping around the neighborhood... just sitting down in their couch.. touching mobile phones and tablets... this is our generation in the 86's running around the neighborhood in our bikes...
This was before cops would shoot you if you took off or give you 10 years in Texas for evading... so remember that before you bash on the younger generation to hard... would you want them on thier tablet or visiting them in jail just for having a little fun... 10 years in the state of Texas for evading dont even have to go over the speed limit... but yes I do agree and the police helped to create that... everyone is so scared of everyone now a days
You're missing out the movie is called ( R A D ). The movie came out when BMX biking was still in its infancy. There were only a few BMX Pros that could pull off a backflip back then. Believe it or not. The movie was never a big hit at the time it came out. But as time went by the movie began to pick up in popularity.
I'm 50 years old and I'm still jamming on a BMX and killing it
Cruiser or 20”?
