I think that Kapkan is a sleeper pick this season, he is good and with today's TDM meta he is more relevant than ever, his traps can be countered by intel, but so many people dont bother at all
They didn’t want people to be left helpless when they hit a frost mat. But imo I think it’s a stupid change. Getting trapped in a frost mat punishes players for not droning or looking properly
It was a small nerf, and one they're already changing a bit apparently (basically if a teammate gets them up there's no penalty I think but if they get themselves up the movement penalty and blood trail lasts longer. I think getting them up also takes longer). She's still super good though. Traps are still very useful, odds are you were going to be nearby to confirm the kill anyway, and I love her smg. Yeah the rate of fire is on the low side but it's so controllable even with the extended barrel for the extra damage. She's one of my best operators still honestly.
I have 2000 hours and recently returned the game after over a year break. I was in my ways with who I watch on TH-cam but after a few videos, Ive subbed. Great work!
The AA12 is also a great shotty. Thing has no spread so it snipes from a mile away. Can use it on alibi/Azami too and have some pretty creative setups. Alibi is a pretty slept on operator imo, at least in my nooby games. Most people just end up tripping her decoys so it's free Intel wherever you place them.

I haven't been grinding ranked exactly but in the lower ranks, everyone bans Kapkan, Fuze, Jackal and Clash. It's so funny how they never change. Fuze is new I suppose cause it used to be Thatcher but no one knows how to play against Fuze ig.

I actually played the beta of Siege and played for about 1 year in the beginning, took years off and would come back for a game or two every so often. I consider myself to be very good at fps shooters on controller because i played for so many years of my life, but siege now with a pc is a wholeeee new game. An absolute blast. I’m Gold V right now and started at Copper V about 2 weeks ago. I’ve been solo queuing mainly and it’s a pain in the ass. Heya! Pc champ here, id say top 5 ops on defence objectively are 5.Kapkan 4.Mute 3.Fenrir 2.Solis 1.Azami. I think kapkan is such a good timewaster the higher the ranks get, and placed on the roam or in weird doors you can catch 1-2 attackers our every round specially with tdm meta. Mute is best info denial, gadget denial and close range operator in the game right now so he goes on the list. Fenrir is a little more situational but his gadget is strong enough to stop an entire attacker push and it's the best intel denial (like a glorified proximity mine, pops, you swing, kill blind enemies). Solis for drone denial, plant denial etc, just an extremely strong intel op with a very solid kit too. Azami by far best operator in the game with her ability to just completely reshape a site, room or roam. Apart from these objectively good ops I think there's some real sleepers that I would include in my personal top, those being Echo (3 speed, amazing intel gathering, so much versatility, and good guns), Tachanka (solid area denial, deployable shield, 60dmg LMG), Clash (even in champ when people see a clash they're clueless as to how to deal with it, even if you're just duo queuing you can isolate 2v1s all over the map and win a round)
I was bouta disagree about kapkan till you said he's good at wasting the attacker's time (which i agree with). Since it slows them down and makes em drone/check every door before swinging in. He's a good op, but I can't see why he's banned so much. Literally just drone and his gadget is pretty bad.

Kaid i play on xbox played since shadow legacy so really not that long but managed to get to d2 in ranked 1.0 and champ 4 times in ranked 2.0 i think that mira is incredible and paired a jager / wamai / kaid / mute can single handedly change the way the attacking team have to push site and mira provides a massive advantage to the defenders peaking them and waste lots of utility only downside is that it can be difficult to play mira in a solo queue game and that she relies on teammates for her to work on some maps
Hell no. Did Kudos not already demonstrate how strong he was? No, it would not be more fun to play against or with. Against would suck, at least you know where his gadget is now, imagine if it was just scatted random places on walls and tight vertical surfaces. Please do not become a developer.
Frost was fine, Lesion was fine, Azami is perfect as is besides the pixel peeping stuff, but Ubisoft seems to only be buffing and nerfing people who don't need it as opposed to operators like Sens and Blackbeard and Thorn who really need it.
Top 5 in no particular order Xbox high plat to mid emerald -Jäger (ads is still one of the strongest gadgets in the game, solid gun but losing Barb a couple seasons back hurt) -Lesion (very strong gadget, great gun impacts and super shorty are great) -Solis ( stupidly powerful gadget that gains intel while denying the enemies, great loadout topped off with impacts ) -Azami/Mira ( both have good guns but it’s their gadget which can make or break site which really makes them shine)
D2-d1(even in ranked 1.0) console 1 - azami (kapkan's smg whichis crazy, and her gadget is super nice) 2 - lesion (one of the best smg's on defence, with the best secondary shotty) 3 - warden (literally buffed him this update which is crazy) 4 - tachanka (thanks to that lmg buff, its making him crazy good) 5 - solis (ive never seen why ppl think shes so broken, iq does everything she can and better, and pulse can do the whole anti-plant thing just as well. Altho her kit is very good. P90 is a beast and im glad ppl are finally seeing that)

Lesion, Solis, Azami, Mute, and Goyo are probably in my top 5. Maybe Wamai. I am so happy Lesion got buffed as he was overall underrated by a lot of people before this. He’s my main. I got to Silver IV this season (so far). My highest rank ever was Gold III on Ranked 1.0.
Console, plat 3 in old system. Current bronze because I havent had a 5 stack to play with and try to rank up. Top 5 1 azami 2 valk 3 kapkan 4 solice 5 mira or smoke I think being mandatory to bring is not the same as being good. Like bandit, mute, and kaid are basically a must bring. They aren’t bad ops but I wouldn’t say they stand out as the best. When the 5 I mentioned are being played to their best potential they can have round changing and match changing impacts.
I'm surprised I didn't see any Valk or castle or fenrir or kapkahn or thorn. I get your choices, I'm just a little surprised. I also think mozzie is nasty too. Controls the prep phase drones and gets free cameras that unlike Valk, are much less likely to be looked for by attackers.
As a Thorn main, I firmly agree that her gadget is just not that great. The fact that it can still be shot out even after it's activated is dumb. At best, it's more of a visual cue if ever it's set off.
@@arshad887 I've never seen anyone try to shoot it after it activates, its just not safe to stay in the zone and look around for it, does too much damage to try unless it's obvious or the only option, I think her trap is good and a great sound cue and an even better way to make people panic and sprint into a room they didn't want to yet. It combines well with other traps, the big thing about her that's good is her loadout. Her gun is nutty.
I've played very few defenders this season, I think. But the five defenders I like to play more, which are not due to me thinking they're better necessarily, are in no particular order: - Caveira: Because she's the only pistol I can get consistent kills with. - Thunderbird: Her weapon is really good. A laser beam. Plus heals, though I miss the overheals she had. - Azami: I've pulled some really nice clutches by denying entry to enemies with her gadget. Much more satisfying than clutching with kills. - Kaid: I like having more options to place his electrifiers. - Thorn: I wasn't sure who to pick here. I was going for Melusi because of the info his gadget can give me when I get it in a good place, but then I remembered I've got good placement of fgadgets with Thorn more often than Melusi, including handing me a clutch by forcing the last enemy to dash into my hiding place.
I am a level 256 diamond from season1-6 and just now back. I’m enjoying the game a lot more now than before. Down in the lower ranks so far, it’s almost all gun play and hardly any droning lol so I feel heavily overpowered and the game lower ranks is easy. So I’m eager to get up ranks and start playing normal again
I gotta say, and people will tease me for this, but Tachanka is underrated af. I mean the MF now has a 70 bullet, fully automatic DMR, and he can area denial as well, if not better than Goyo. Meme on him all you want, but in a 1v1 you better aim for the head, if he even lets you get close to him that is.

I play Xbox and I'm never really try that hard, I play ranked with friends usually. (Aka I'm bad) So I usually end up around low bronze to low silver, but ever since 2021 I've loved to use Kaid's aug with a silencer. It feels so smooth imo.

Wamai (best soft-anchor in game rn I guess: 1.5x, good gun, 2 speed and best and only counter to gridlock traxes) 3. Lesion (best trapper rn, with huge kill potential If u camping nearby ur traps, I think that's why they nerfed frost, ubi wants some movement in defence) 4. solis (best roam in a game) 5. Yeah I've been running the shotgun primary on him and Nokk almost exclusively now. It is so powerful after the shotgun changes.

I still think they should have made only 3 armors able to break out of Welcome Mats. And lower armors can break free when they are under a finka boost

1. Azami (huge and strong utility)
2. Wamai (best soft-anchor in game rn I guess: 1.5x, good gun, 2 speed and best and only counter to gridlock traxes)
3. Lesion (best trapper rn, with huge kill potential If u camping nearby ur traps, I think that's why they nerfed frost, ubi wants some movement in defence)
4. solis (best roam in a game)
5. Kaid/smoke (good anchors to slow down enemy)
