Thanks so much. Michael Bailey just announced there will be another world cruise. No details but it will be finalized next year. So we’re guessing the cruise will be sometime in 2027.
We were able to pass through on our TA, sadly it was in the middle of the night. Happy to be able to see some of the area on your awesome video. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, Mike and Nancy! We were on an NCL Mediterranean cruise in November 2023 and had a stop in Gibraltar. My hubby and I went to the lighthouse where right across the way was Morocco! Amazing! Then we had tea at a fine hotel there - delicious! My adult children went up the mountain and had no problem with the monkeys. But I wanted to mention that Gibraltar was where John Lennon and Yoko Ono were married in March 1969 at the Gibraltar registry office. 🥰 Love your videos! Emmy
My first ship stop at Gibraltar will be in Nov 2024, but I passed it in fall 2019 going back to the US and in spring 2022 going from the U S. On that 2nd trip I did the driving excursion from another port and saw the caves and monkeys. This November, we will stop there going both ways on my back-to-back cruises and I am looking forward to both stops. I have booked a tunnel excursion on the first trip and a local excursion on the second trip. I will be on NCL and with $50 off and a 15% discount, I normally find the ship's excursion to be a good value for me.
Great to see you visiting my home country. These videos seem a bit more special now that you are closer to where I live in the UK 🇬🇧 and visiting places I have been to. Enjoy Europe.
We have enjoyed Gibraltar the couple times visited. Just like any wildlife pay attention and don't tempt them. Yes we saw one jump on a guy's backpack but overall they were not threatening. Not a reason to not visit the Rock. The cable car ride up was fun. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Great memories.
I had a stop in Gibraltar one time as well and had a magical time seeing the Monkeys at the top of the rock :-) They weren't aggressive at all. I once hiked a volcano in Bali - now the monkeys up there - whew child...I don't fight animals but these creatures - wooosaahhh - lol
Beautiful, I love the cave light and music show, that was really lovely!!!! Also seeing where the pillar of Hercules was interesting too!!!! Thanks for sharing
We had a lady that didn't listen to the advice to not have food exposed near the monkeys. Her finger was hurt as a monkey took the food from her. That said our guide fed an older monkey every day that he worked so the elderly female came to him and was very sweet. I'm looking forward to your time in Halifax as I've watched 2Hearts1Seoul's annual trip vlogs from Halifax for several years. I also think Roaming Around The World's website has great information to help plan a trip to Halifax. I can't wait to see what you do there. I'm glad we still have so many of your posts to look forward to.
When we were there a few years ago and a monkey did take a ladies bag. She had food in it and we were warned not to take food off our bus. They did not attack her or anything but grabbed her bag. He ran off with it. I agree though do not be afraid of them. Just listen to your guide.
I went to Corfu and had the most pleasant surprise with this beautiful, upscale and modern beach in Saranda, Albania just being a 30 min ferry ride right from the port the cruise ship docks on. For future cruisers who may be interested in doing this - remember to take your passport with you when you leave the ship. Looking forward to seeing your video because we didn't find much to do in Corfu - hence darting over to Albania.
Corfu should be fascinating- I don’t know if you are familiar with Gerald Durrell (an English author and zookeeper) - he wrote a book called “My Family and Other Animals” all about his adventures in Corfu when his mother decided to move the family there in the 1930s. It’s an enchanting book (as are his others) and piqued my interest in Corfu. Looking forward to your next blog!
Love your videos! Hoping to catch the next Royal Carribbean world cruise. Have they mentioned when that might be? Also, how many times& where did they take your passports for visas? We had ours taken in Ireland on our British Isles cruise. Thanks! Look forward to hearing about the rest of your cruise!!😊
Michael Bailey just announced they will be having another world Cruise probably in 26 or 27. And as far as the passports for the first half of the cruise they kept our passports the whole time and took care of all the stamps in the second half we carried them and there was probably about 5 or 10 times that we had to appear in person to get stamps.
We cruised a 42 night cruise in 2016 and one of our stops was Gibraltar. I wouldn’t go to the top because of the monkeys and back then they were very aggressive with many people in our group! I was so glad we didn’t venture up! Maybe the monkeys have mellowed these last 8 years or they moved them? We had some fish & chips at a restaurant in a cave in the center of the downtown area. The smashed peas were the best! Love watching you and your adventures 😊
Nope. I visited Gibraltar in 2016 too - went to the top and had a wonderful experience with the monkeys...they weren't aggressive, didn't steal anything - were perfectly mild. I have videos of it on my page.
Sorry you had that experience with the monkeys. Everyone can have different experiences at different times and that's what makes travel so exciting. Thanks a lot for following along with us
I’ve watched every one of your world cruise videos! I just love them! But knowing your cruise is almost over it going to be so strange watching the rest when I know you are off the ship! What’s next????
Thanks a lot for continuing to sail along with us even though the ship is docked. We have our next big adventure already scheduled and will be making an announcement soon😁
Gibraltar has now built a tunnel for traffic under the runway! We visited Shetland this summer and they have now the only airport in the world with a road crossing the runway!
My son went to England this summer with his high school. All I've heard about since then is how amazing the fish and chips are there. Apparently mine don't compare l😂
Oh my goodness what a wonderful private tour., except the monkeys lol. In Bali we encountered thieving monkeys. Not fun. The airport is so unique! Today august 31 you were in St Johns, Newfoundland lol Canada my hometown. I hope you had a good time there. Can't wait to hear about what you did. Take care, be safe in the home stretch.
Now that you are nearing the end, would you do it the same way for 9 months or segments with a break in between? Good thing you are recording it all. You can sit down when you get home and enjoy it all over again.
For this adventure we wouldn't have done it any other way. It was amazing. For our next one we're not sure if we do a full nine months or not but we got to see what the future brings
Your boat was awesome😂👏and I'm really enjoying your talking: your voices, your video cooperation are a pleasure. It's palpable that there is a good vibe around you both.
You've reached Europe!!
But sadly that also means that we're on the last leg. Our journey of following y'all will be over sooner than we'd like.
For us as well, but luckily we still have quite a few videos to go
@@livingphase2 Maybe after the cruise you can do some behind the scenes videos of your catering business.
I so much enjoy living my life vicariously through your videos. Hoping to actually do it someday!
Thanks so much. Michael Bailey just announced there will be another world cruise. No details but it will be finalized next year. So we’re guessing the cruise will be sometime in 2027.

We absolutely loved Halifax and enjoyed the sailing immensely

Corfu was a little difficult we did at quick overview tour but we look forward to going back to the Greek isles

Loved that book.
Thanks for the recommendation we'll have to take a look
I have always heard the monkeys are a huge problem and therefore I have avoided Gibraltar. Good information. Thanks, hugs

A lot of mixed emotions as we start heading home
Nice vlog
Been there with poor lighting no show
Interesting place
Gotta mind the monkeys
Saw a lady almost got bit
When does the cruise end? Enjoy all your vidios
Our cruise ends in five days on September 10.
Wait, Mike was a pilot too?! I feel like he's had such an interesting career journey and I need to know more 😊
It's been quite a life. I never turned down any chance to learn something or to have an adventure. 😉
Gibraltar has now built a tunnel for traffic under the runway! We visited Shetland this summer and they have now the only airport in the world with a road crossing the runway!

St John's was amazing. We had an unexpected overnight there. We loved going out and enjoying the nightlife. You have a wonderful town!

the monkey at 7:00 is so cute!
Nancy and Mike, how much was the taxi you took for the day in Gibraltar. We will be there for a few hours on a cruise in a few weeks. Thanks!
The full taxi was around $600 for the full day and tour and you can put up to eight people in it we did it with 4 and enjoyed it thoroughly
Your boat was awesome😂👏and I'm really enjoying your talking: your voices, your video cooperation are a pleasure. It's palpable that there is a good vibe around you both.
Oh, I'm so mad at you. I was supposed to go there on a cruise, but we had a electrical problem so we sailed thought to Alicante and then to Rome....
😪
