I don't believe in the writing where Fleet Commander Carven can make the conclusion that the federation has assistance, after mentioning they have intelligence-gaps in sectors of federation space. Like they know the federation so well. Having proof is a different story. And I don't remember his forked tongue, mentioning the two federation soldiers they caught and lost who were doing Drak recon. He is over confident in his abilities, I think.
This is a pretty good story but please in your future novels find a different word for palpable. It has been repeated so many times I know it's not just me that it's driving crazy.
Well it is an endless space war involving undeveloped characters. Delivered in a vehement U.S. voice, which tries to deliver a lesson of strength in unity. Ironic considering the behaviour of that nation. Did keep me entertained for a few hours though.
