I came here after i googled the meaning of Revenue which i couldn't understood it, but now thanks to you i do. You explained it in a very clear and simple way.
Revenue is the value of all sales of goods and services recognized by the company in a period. The revenue received from the business after paying expenses or appliciable taxes is business income. In case of individuals employed, salary or wages is also considered as primary source of income.
Hi Jennifer! Thanks! Examples: 1) Sloppy accounting was culpable for the shortfall in revenue. 2) Caused by a meager salary, he had a really low income. He lived in dire circumstances and was as poor as a church mouse.
In short, "revenue" is what is gotten in but “income " is what we earn 💰 after paying what we buy and what is credited am I right Be free to correct me anything wrong! You are my teacher!!

Hi, thank you a lot for your explanation. My 2 sentences are: I've income only from my company. We'll hope to have higher revenues than expenses at the end of this year.
My student's examples from 2023 Government strategy is aimed to increase citizens’ income. It was a 5 million margin between revenue and income. Thank you))
1. Wow very happy to share with all of you, this year we achieved 100million revenue and first we did it. So I thank everyone for making things happen. 2. Getting only one income from my job, I'm an employee of NTrust, so receiving such things month on month.
Hello Jennifer! First of all, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. My company's revenue for last year was $50M dollars. But it's income was only $5M. We need to work with our cash flow so that we can increase our profit margin.
Excellent, you explain these topics to all professionals joined to your channel. It would be great if you make a video to show up us how the managers are used to speak and sound as professional... Something like Speak like a Manager
Examples : In Mexico a lot of people tend to do beyond their regular jobs to increase their income such as drive for uber , garage sale or Start a small business ( street stall ) . I googled and I found out that Walmart is the largest company by revenue . The leading company in the world by income is Saudi Aramco , 110.97 billion U.S dollars . Money matters but love matters even more specially the one you love the most ( Canadian Teacher ) .
Hello Jennifer! Nice to see you! It was such interesting. Thanks a lot for the lesson! My examples: 1. I believe that the revenue of this company is not enough to think of buying its shares. Let's look around else. 2. Day by day I'm dreaming of increasing my income and getting to the next level!
My college teacher use the word INCOME if expenses is not excluded. NET PROFIT is when expenses already removed. That's what kur Philippine Teacher explained
Jennifer, You just blew my mind with the mathematic you just did. Companies in my country, generates the same revenue as the company's in Canada, but people income are years far away from what you people makes, because minimum average here is $100 monthly income. Is like making a bicycle monthly income, and used bicycle like you mentioned earlier in one of your examples,if you work hard you can make a tree cycle 😏
Great video. I have to say that a person may not want to know vs those who want to know how healthy is the companies revenue. With that information a person can consider their value in a company, will the company be here in the future?, etc. Great information overall. New sub. now
Hello Jennifer, so, I'm Noveysha like always. I've enjoyed the videos. These are my examples: My income salary is enough for my family. Our company 's revenue is $ 28M. I will be 14 years old in September, l'm interested in architect, not business but l have to Know difference between income and revenue so that, l can speak English. Thank you!!!! Jennifer 😘
Income is not defined by the Internal Revenue Code. Gross income is. Taxable Income is but not "income" itself. The Supreme Court did define it however for purposes of the 16th Amendment and they defined it as a "Profit or Gain derived from capital, from labor or both combined". The key terms there are "profits and gains".
Great video! Thank you again!, As you have us a small class about math operation, you could make a video teaching us more about it, "Math operations" it'd be awesome because there's very little material about it on internet 😉
It is! It's a source of your income. For most seniors, it's their main income. But it's only income when you collect it (not while it's just accumulating in a fund). While it's in a fund, you can count it as part of your net worth, but not your income.

At the moment many companies made a loss, because they didn’t have enough monthly revenue. Due to COVID-19 their incomes descreased a lot.

So income is the same as net profit that is the same as bottom line?? Interesting.

Please what is the difference between the following:A business,A company and A firm?
It's kinda amusing to me.
I've never heard the word "revenue" in my almost two years of experience in English.
It's a business term, that's probably why. If you don't own a business, it's not something you have ;)
In French we use the word "revenue" à lot!
It's a very common word in business
Understood

Hi how are you doing ? My name is Khaled, i have a question: what is the difference between source and resource. Thank you very much
That’s a great question! I’ll add it to the list for a future video. 👩🏫
Hello, can you please do a new video about a lesson " Over there/ Right there...
The revenue of my company which I work has decreased by ten precent this year decuase covid 19 . so the company's income significantly effected .
Hi Jennifer! Is your pension your income?
It is! It's a source of your income. For most seniors, it's their main income. But it's only income when you collect it (not while it's just accumulating in a fund). While it's in a fund, you can count it as part of your net worth, but not your income.

Hi, is there a difference between revenue and turnover?
No, you can use them interchangeably ;) Revenue is more common in North America though.
Hi teacher jennifer
Last year it was good my income
This year some companys will generate it least revenue
Great lesson thank you
Very good!
The problem dear teacher is most of people don't say how really are their incomes. Here, there and everywhere, as The Beatles' song.
Hello dear teacher.
This year I had a small revenue because my company didn't work well.
What is the source of your income?
Awesome examples! 👏
Revenue from income tax rose last year
It's often difficult for a family to live on one income.
Is income the money you get from an individual effort ?
You can think of it like that.
This year our company's revenue bound to be reduced because due to Covid 19. The sales are cross the board round %20 down. I am sure that it will affect my yearly income.
My income decrease sixty percent because of the new circumstances , Your company becomes famous and it’s revenue doubles but luckily , the expenses still low
My income comes from my job and I have additional revenue from a private job.
Awesome example! 👏
If income is equal to revenue - expenses, is it the same as profit?
Yes, net profit. I said that in the lesson ;)
The 2 sentence will be
1.my company offers me 20k dollars per year
2. I need to Increase the revenue of my Company and Decrease the expenses so that i can increase my profit margin
Company that I worke it,if it earn more revenue due sales cars threrefore my income increase.
