There are many upsides to learning English, like, for example, access to a vast amount of information available in English and better job opportunities, among others. Of course, I feel fatigued after studying for a long time, but I don't consider it a downside. Driving during rush hours is a pain. That's right! When I take a break, I always have a cup of coffee. Let's go! You're the best, Jennifer! 💯💕😘
@@JForrestEnglish Mam I am from India....i feel you are using very tough vocabulary for me ....i am not getting enough...so please when you upload another video make it easy for us to understand....

Hi Jenifer the chronology of difficulties is quite progressive, which allows any student to progress regularly but surely without being really stuck in their learning. It's a good way to gain confidence, determination and progress more easily by listening to your English lesson. I find the way of teaching very effective for everyone, especially for non-native English speakers like me !!!
thanks very much J. your lessons boost my learning for vocabularies. Sometime I get flustered because of synonym, but with your lessons I am making progress.
Hello, Jennifer.😊 I find this article interesting and encouraging. The upside to learning English is that I can feel confident once in a while when I can express what I want to. On the other hand, the downside to learning English is that I often get irritated and flustered when I can't make it. In that case I often cut my brain some slack. When I take a break, I always do some exercise, walk and sometimes eat sweets. It's not only airports, but also train stations that fluster me. Thank you for your high-quality lesson. That's me!Let's go!😺🥳

Teacher Jennifer, What an amazing article!🧠 The upside to learning English is the ability to communicate ideas effectively with natives.😎 From my perspective, Although there are some downsides to learning English, we can manage them.👍💪 confusing words in English fluster me, but I cut myself some slack with these.😅 Although this lesson was too long, It provided a myriad of expressions.🔥 so, I don't complain about it.👍 when I take a break, I always have a cup of tea like you do.😃 That's me! right now, I feel fatigued.😴 so, Now I'm going to take a break!👍 Thanks for sharing this million-dollar article!🧡 You rock!🤩 Let's go!😎👍
Let's just put our thinking cap on when listening and watching Mam Jennifer Forest online video teaching to combat down side effects like nodding off....

Hi Jennifer, thank you so much for your sharing! I've learned a lot from today's video. Just a quick question: In the sentence "There are many upsides to learning English, but there are downsides too", why a gerund (i.e. learning) is used after the "to"? Is it because "to" is a preposition here? Thank you :)
Great question! Yes, "to" is a preposition in this sentence, so it’s followed by a gerund (learning). When "to" acts as a preposition, it’s always followed by a noun or a gerund. 😊
The upside of learning English is meeting you, even if it's by internet. I'd prefer a minor pain to not watching you no more. I liked this lesson a lot, Jennifer. I'm looking forward the next one. See you then.
Let alone feeling fatigued, Actually studying English with you is pleasure for me. There is no exaggeration! (I am not sure that the usage of the word "actually" in this sentence is grammatically correct?)
Firstly I want to thank you for your great exploratory videos, I'm a big fan 😊 Just want to draw your attention to one point: in the 04:30 you gave an example, which is really perplexing to me. Upsides to learning English? Why not " upsides to *learn* English" ?
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 As for your question, "upsides to learning English" is correct because after "to," we often need a gerund (verb + -ing) to express an ongoing action or concept. In this case, "learning" works better than "learn" to show the process of gaining knowledge.
