It’s interesting how Caine is depicted as pure evil in this short while in the series he’s just an AI who’s trying his best to entertain the circus members, while having no idea about the human world.
My guess is that, in a previous short it seemed like they knew each other beforehand, so that could be the reason of Caine acting like that, and resorting to turn Pomni in a cute girl like Pochi does beforehand to subsecuently abstract her, making difficult to resolve it as she usually does.

Yes, his actual being of existence is more, or less, outside of the same reality of the other characters. His AI itself probably belongs to a different server, so that makes his character his avatar which he controls. It won’t matter if it is destroyed. That also explains how he is able to connect with places outside of the digital circus, because of his actual AI being in a server different than that of where the digital circus is
