The area that is cleared at base of The Boss is where the kther half of the Go Karts track was. One half was removed for Rookie Racer, so the other half went as well, leaving that big clearing.
My 12yr old son & I love all the park videos!! Heck of an awesome trip! We are from St.Louis, so that’s our home park, with Silver Dollar City being a close second to us. Cheers and safe travels!!
Thank you both. This was the park we’d visit on Baptist day in the late seventies. We got out of school to go. The log flume, the screaming eagle and the mine train appear to be all that’s left. Great video. Screaming eagle was in the Guinness book for a time. Highest, fastest, longest in the world. Wow 😂
This park actually looks pretty decent. Looks like it may need a little TLC and maybe another stand out coaster but I'm intrigued enough to give it a go.
I think I am almost up to date with all the vlogs so far for this US Road trip. I love the positivity and honest reviews that you both give. Your videos are full of fun and great to watch. Keep the positive vibes going ❤
Its original theme were the 6 regions of each flag (US, England, Spain, France, Illinois, Missouri). Today, that theme is Warner Brothers. That's fine and all if you like what WB is doing with superhero stuff- ie the DC stuff. It's why before the 90's rides were named for different things (Mine Train, Ninja, etc), while 90's onward were named after WB stuff- Batman, Freeze, etc. Some rides like the Buccaneer and Scrambler have been renamed for WB characters (Joker and Shazam respectively). I still call them by their original names (like Tony Hawk and Evel Knievel).
Catwoman's Whip looks fantastic. I'm glad you got to ride that. If they RMC the Boss, would it become the Evil Boss? The Bad Boss? They could have some fun with the name.
“I’ll be able to get that stain out at home with some vanish” made me laugh 😂 another fab vlog, I’m enjoying this trip so much, it feels like we’re all there with you guys 👍🏼
That's my old stomping grounds! I've not been there in some thirty years now, though. A lot of changes. But it does me heart good to see it again, and you did a lovely job showing the new stuff!
Thank you both for the awesome videos!! I’ve been binge watching all your road-trip videos and they are so entertaining! You and Charlotte seem like the nicest people. Take care from your newest subscriber! :)
there is not one person who can describe the park's builds, reconstruction, decorations and details like you can!! everything you talk about is very interesting
Great vlog! I'm glad that you and Charlotte had a really good time then what you did in 2019! And that new roller coaster Rookie Racer will be so much fun to ride!
You heard it here first everyone! RMC Boss 2024! I also agree that it would be great keeping a majority of the existing layout intact if/when they convert it since it's a really unique coaster. Screaming Eagle is a hidden gem that doesn't get talked about enough.
Yeah I heard about that just didn't know it would still be closed after 3 weeks nearly. All the big gigacoasters having issues or accidents. Top Thrill Dragster shut down to cus on an accident
Looks a good decent theme park. Love the indoor ride, those type of attractions really appeal to me and all the better that you don't wear 3D Spectacles. Good one.
I haven’t been to Six Flags St. Louis since 2004 and wanted to see how the park is doing so I’m extra happy I found your vlog! 😊 Might have to go there this summer 😍
Hi shawn and Charlotte really enjoying this trip it's been so nice watching your travels. Looks like a nice park bit lacking in places very ordinary. Thanks for sharing with us. Lots of love to you both as always Tracey 💕 xxxx
This park seems to be really stepping up their game despite the staffing shortage. I’m proud of them. Funny enough I saw a lady here in Maryland with a Six Flags St Louis shirt on yesterday.
Haven't gone to this park in several years at this point, so it was interesting to see how much things have changed. Aw, too bad the rapids ride is down! I got majorly SOAKED last time I was on it. There was a really LONG section (at least it felt long, haha) where the raft wouldn't spin, and guess who got every. Single. WAVE! lol. Then not too long after that there were waterfalls, which totally helped (NOT!). So yeah, you lucked out with this one, Charlotte! lol
I can’t even imagine how torturous an Arrow stand-up would have been. At least it had no inversions! River King was originally two separate courses, one of which was moved to Dollywood where it operated for about ten years before being moved to Magic Springs in Arkansas, where it still operates (I think).
I love B&M Inverted coasters, i think they are my favourite Roller Coaster type. I love the look of them, the sound they make and how they ride, amazing coasters
It looks like your trip is matching up to the low attendance this year at many of the Six Flags parks. Six Flags America (my home park), on the other hand, has just been the opposite. It's been the busiest I've ever seen for a non-holiday days. In fact, this past Saturday, was out of control. Normally, during a hot day you can count on Hurricane Harbor being busy, but not the dry park. Well, you can throw that rule out the window. The dry park was equally as busy!
One of the big empty spots was the former site of the Xcalibur. It was a rare Giant Evolution ride. Its a shame they got rid if it. Nobody knows if its getting relocated or sent to scrap.
😂....not exactly, but it can get pretty warm there. I use to find summers hot there before I moved to FL over 20 years ago, now most cities don't feel as hot to me as before.
@@wendelcleghorn7950 yes!! I live on a barrier island on the east/southeast coast of Florida and my brother lives in Chicago. He use to joke saying how it's hotter in Chicago than where I live on a summer day. I said okay, but when you visit me, the 88° by me will be the hottest 88° you have ever felt😂...so he visited and he had to collect himself a few times when he first arrived and couldn't believe it never really cooled off at night too😂😂😂
I have not ridden The Boss but it seems like an RMC conversion would make sense for this one. It is not an old classic that really makes saving it worthwhile. And with its long length it could make an epic RMC, giving the park the stand out coaster it still needs.
We ride Ninja last thing before leaving for the day because we always get power slammed in our spine and neck and without fail EVERY TIME the seat behind us will be a 12 year old girl screaming "I hate this part" at the top of her lungs the entire ride.
You caught me out then when talking about what PTC stands for. Philadelphia Toboggan Comp… Coasters? 😲 I had to do some research? It was Philadelphia Toboggan Company until 2007 when Tom Rebbie became sole owner and changed the name to Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters, Inc (PTCI). Excellent video Shawn and Charlotte from Six Flags St. Louis in Missouri, the 14th theme park of our USA Road Trip! In this vlog, we experience all 9 roller coasters at the park including Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast, The Boss, and many more awesome rides. We also experience some of the other fantastic rides on offer at the park, along with checking out the construction taking place on Rookie Racer, a new family roller coaster opening at the park later this year! keep the good videos coming on the channel, I can't write to see the next video on the channel, Shawn and Charlotte. 😀👍👍
The gerstlauer spinners are low-key the best spinner coasters you can experience. Shame CP didnt go for that style. And the staff at St Louis in 2023 have been fantastic! Not their decision but wish there was 2 train ops.... but when the trains were being loaded everyone was moving well and was very friendly! One of the friendliest staff Ive ever had at a park as of June 2023 I would vote The Boss gets a full GCI reprofile & GCI millennium flyers.... maybe even bring back the ending double helix? lol I will say I found screaming eagle a little rough as well but not as much as the boss. But it made me sad that the seat at the entrance has that buzzbar that would let the ride be more comfortable :p
The reason why Black and Red are my favorite colors is because they remind me of Phantom of the opera with the red rose and the black ribbon around the roses stem and phantom of the opera is my favorite movie, opera, and book
Your day at SFSL makes me think it could be worth a visit, but, as we can only travel in August, the other comments suggest it wouldn’t be the best choice. Do love the look of Mr Freeze though.
Ninja was actually originally built by Arrow, but they went bankrupt during the project so Vekoma finished the coaster for them. I don’t hate this ride, though that sidewinder is an awful element.

I love how positive you guys stay no matter what happens! If there is something negative you say, you always come back around with something positive!
It’s freezing cold here In Sydney, having a glass of wine enjoying your vlog. Brings back memories of visiting Six Flags St Louis in 2005.
How cold is freezing in Australia ???
Ha ha it was probably around 8 degrees Celsius. It was cold for us.
I'm glad you guys had an awesome time at my home park. Six flags St. Louis is very underrated
The worst thing about six flags st Louis is that it's a six flags park.
I hope to go soon
For good reason , it’s very average
