Lovely video as always, Huddy! I always felt that Mage had the most creative ability design in that it’s an open ended approach where the outline is given and then the players can run with it. It makes any potential video game equivalent next to impossible but I think mage as a line was always supposed to stay on the table anyways
My story teller recently indulged in an experiment my Tremere character and a time mage wanted to try. Which was turning a kindred into a mage. After a session of really amazing rolls to his high difficulty the experiment was more or less successful. But of course this is WOD. Alfred is no longer kindred, and he’s not quite a mage nor human. He accidentally became a Litch. Lore wise it’s more of a sub species. So hear I am studying my ass off on mages to hopefully get a basic understanding of wtf I just did to my poor character 😂🤣😂
@@dibblemcbibble2787 having seen the arc to its entirety by this point, for his own gains that he couldn’t personally attached to at all and the last place a mage would look for an ally is mostly fresh kindred. I later found out it was supposed to be a one off npc for a mission, but our requests for payment were a better for the story he wanted to tell, and ease into mage mechanics for the table in preparation of the game we have now in mage 20th.

You missed an option for the tenth sphere: the reality is those who understand the tenth sphere literally scream the info from the rooftops to everyone who will listen, but the truth is either so profound or mundane that listeners either willingly or unintentionally downright refuse to comprehend it no matter how hard its shoved down their throats. It's like banality in a way, in that most people like the walls they've put up around themselves and they're cozy in what they already know. Just like how Mage players think they're playing a ttrpg instead of being cognizant of the fact that they're learning real occultism 😀

Water, Earth, Fire, Air.....long ago the four.....wait wrong thing.
A mage can unironically cast “testicular torsion”
And probably get away with it, it does just...happen sometimes

Best breakdown I have read in years, Thank you. This will be great for my new players
It is my pleasure, so glad you find this video helpful
I truly hope that Mage gets the same 5e love that VtM & WtA are getting
Oh snap fancy seeing you here lol
@@Badleo818 hehe, you know where there is a WoD I will be there lurking like a Nos

Why the hell was a Mage anywhere near a Tremere without incinerating them?

A fascinating magic system. Really makes one Think.
Going through the entire MtA series, solid introduction and overview, thank you!
Thanks! I have more videos planned, but I am lacking in time unfortunately
the easiest way to reach enlightenment is to have a dot in all spheres adn simulcast the observations so you learn to understand the big picture.
Thank you for your videos. I'll be running my first mage game soon and I'm using your videos to educate my players and myself.
I hope your game goes well!!
Absolute Sphere
Looking forward to when you discuss the Traditions, especially the Necromancers of the Euthanatoi!

@@matijasostojic4288yeah, bassically It Is. The way you can deal with it and how you can use It, it's another discussion.
Thank you, another great video.
I like your videos. I hope you do more on Mage soon.
It's better if we are all Oracle's...yes IT is!!!
