I working in a 1949 jeep Willis cj2a with 507802 miles on it and it still runs I'm just putting a new wiring harness on it new dash gauges and also put new taillights she cranks but ithink we could get her started either today or next week
12v cummins always sound like you're shaking a bucket full of nuts and bolts. And the rumble they make. All that powerrrr! That's why I want one! They have their own sound!
Ida 2009 Ford escape I went rock crawling in it mudding in it I bounced it off a tree and that thing still ran like had no issues and I miss at the power steering but it was front-wheel drive and I had a blast
Bruce get you a bottle of nitrogen to pressure test your refrigerant circuits from your air-gas supply Way faster to find leaks and your not pulling moisture-non condensables into the circuit through the leak point
Check an see if the ac high pressure sensor is a two wire pig tail. If it is take a paper clip an jump the pigtail an see if compressor kicks on if it does then pressure sensor is bad common issue on these older rigs.
I’ve redone a bunch of first gen wiring simple way to describe them is everything is powered with a big blue wire with the key and switched on and off with ground so always probe with a ground wire instead of positive
You have to bypass the relay to get it to take freon until you get enough in to turn off the low pressure switch then it'll turn on with the a.c. switch like normal
It will be good for Arann to step out of your shadow and be a good learning experience for him bro, but it will not be long till he's back in working for the family again but it's good for him to find his feet first 👍
At 7 years old, I learned to drive in a 78 green and white Dodge pickup. My grandfather would let me drive the 1/4 mile to the mailbox everyday. I can still smell his Red Man, and King Edward Cigars.
Ecm js prob bad , my first gen did it and I had to bypass it for the ac and Speedo , the ecm fires stuff by closing the grounds to turn stuff on and off
Hey Bruce. Located in central KY, my grandpa has a mid-late 90’s Ford F-350 with a 7.3 and manual transmission, he says that it blew a head gasket back 13 years or so ago. Some of my earliest memories were in that truck! It’s been through it, but if you were in the area I’d love to see if you could get her running. It’s been sitting ever since the head gasket supposedly blew. I think it’s make you an interesting video!
The ac compressor on the 1st gens are switched on and off by the ground. You probably have a bad ac cycle switch. It is located by the expansion valve and has a capillary tube probed into the suction line.
Don’t forget fuse link in charge wire to battery , also a couple of OZs of compressor oil . Might be needed after these leaks high pressure side has oil flowing . Just don’t over look I or just put on a new compressor and Kit
You are my favorite content creator and we have a farm in Ohio with a AC 8050 with the same block that is in your pulling tractor that makes 234 HP and we still farm with it
I feel like your logo would look really good in Mahindra Red lettering, when your new to you pulling tractor gets it’s mahindra make over it’ll be matchy matchy
Bruce watching your vids teaches me more on mechanical stuff fo diesels my dream job is either a mechanic or farmer or firefighter but I think I can be mechanic and farmer but your videos really help out with mechanical stuff

The purpose of pulling a vacuum is to evaporate any moisture in the system. I pull every system down to a stable 500 micron vacuum that I work on.

remember the toe nail well from the old days videos great to see it back 👍
A solid axle 4x4 swap would be freaking sick on the tow nail
Hey Bruce
A crew cab 1tom doesn’t weigh much less than that 9000lbs pulling tractor.
Great content as usual.

I’ve redone a bunch of first gen wiring simple way to describe them is everything is powered with a big blue wire with the key and switched on and off with ground so always probe with a ground wire instead of positive

If anything I’d like to see it restored and you using it as a toe truck again. Otherwise Bruce keep up the great work. Your awesome.

Rollbacks are nice till all the hydraulic lines, cylinders get old. As long as that winch is working you're good to go
Amerikans don't say problem anymore , they say "issue."
In our cabinet
You need to put the Hood back on the Mahindra, just custom fab it around the turbo and exhaust
The new mics/audio sounds really good! Great choice on them 👌🏼

I know at some point I going to have to get one if I plan on being a semi truck 🚛 mechanic 👨🔧. 🙂
Sometimes Ryan sounds like Herbert from Family Guy. Like the way he was speaking in O'reilly's. Bet he could nail an impression of him.
