    Good job nice bag ! Tip if you put pressure on back foot peg pushing it down! Then back nut comes off? Some people put screwdriver in gap but I just put pressure! Nut comes off, quicker and easy

    i was looking at those bags and wondering if they’d work specifically on the ST900 so THANK YOU for doing this install. Super helpful, might have to pull the trigger on a set.

    recently bought my own street twin 900 and pair of longride bags, and this video definitely saved me some frustration especially with those rear foot pegs. thanks for sharing your experience and being an inspiration to seek out this brand specifically.

    Hi, I just discovered your channel, watched a couple videos, and immediately subscribed. I’m really enjoying your content and format. I did most of my riding back along the east coast, then CA, and moved to NM recently. 2016 Triumph. You’re inspiring me to do more riding & camping. Thank you! 🤠

    What a neat video, will be sure to send Street Twin owners your way ;)
    We now offer, as an option, the pre-installation of the Sidekick claw, send us an email if you do order a second Racer, and we will do it for you this time ;)

    You can actually use a flat blade screwdriver and wedge it into the hexhead bolt and undo the nut and take the footpeg off as a unit without disassembling it!

      @@moto_des It's much easier than chasing that little ball bearing around. After 62 years of riding I look for short cuts!! :) Enjoy the ride and keep the rubber side down!!

    Hey, cheers for this. I'm looking for instructions for Street cup, couldn't find many. I'm guessing it might be similar due to rear seat cowl?
    Also how come you had to drill the holes! 🙀

    That bag looks great. What is its volume (15 liters)?
    I have been using a Cortech Super 2.0 18-Liter Magnetic Tank Bag for my every day rides (store my rain gear, layers of my jacket, extra ear plugs, and other stuff).
    I bought a Firstgear DryPac 70 for when I go on a ride where I plan to spend two or more nights away from home. The Firstgear DryPac is 99.9999.% waterproof, so my cloths and stuff are protected from water on my longer trips. The challenge is how to secure it to my bike. My trip to the Tail of the Dragon in 2018 was great fun. I only used about half of the capacity of the 70 liter Firstgear Drypac.

    • @moto_des
      @moto_des  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the bag is 15 liters. I'll have to look up the drypac bags. I rode in the rain recently with my saddlebag. My things stayed dry, but the bag is not 100% waterproof.

    Great video!! I am installing ones on my speed twin, in the video it look like youn reused the original bolts for the shock. Can I reuse my own or should use the ones that come with the holders?

    • @kevinou339
      @kevinou339 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I just installed mine for my 2022 speed twin. Unlike the street twin in this video, unfortunately it will not be a perfect fit between the shock and the footpeg with the mount, which is why they provide an extender to make it fit. The extender does create more space between the mount and the shock,which is why you will need to use the longer bolt provided than the original OEM bolt which is a little shorter.

    • @vailkafer
      @vailkafer 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Reuse your stock hardware. The chinesium bolt provided snapped off before the torque wrench could click. I went back and used the stock bolts and lock nuts.

    My panier rails rub against the springs. Does yours? I installed mine just like how you did yours. It does not touch the springs when the bike is not moving, only during a ride. Also, not even a year into using my Longride bag, the paint started rubbing off on the panier rails. How is your rail doing? I haven't checked with Longride yet if it is covered by their 2 year warranty.

    • @moto_des
      @moto_des  ปีที่แล้ว

      It does not. I haven’t had any trouble with the railing either. It’s held up really well but I’ve also only had for about 6 months.

  • @glennschumacher9498
    @glennschumacher9498 ปีที่แล้ว

      Until I saw this video, I didn't know about Longride. They need to provide the second bag for free to reward you for word of mouth advertising. Anyone want to buy a brand new set of Triumph rails and panniers (arriving next week, not installed yet)? I want the Roadmaster SK bags now!

    • @moto_des

    • @mark222b
      @mark222b ปีที่แล้ว

      I've used it in pouring rain on my work commute and the items inside did not get wet. I believe it's water repellent due to the waxed canvas.

      @@moto_des Tap out the thread, add thread lock, and torque.... don't want the suspension falling off mid-ride.
      Should hold for a while, don't panic.
