Sickest thing I have ever seen. Have no idea what possessed him to actually pick that wave. I thought that if he fell there he is a goner. Love to see the whole wave, did he make it? Respect times 1000. Lot's of guys charge big stuff but that was just different level...wow!!!

Billy Kemper's wave at 9:50 is a mutant straight out of a horror story with a Shipsterns step at the bottom. Even HE looked back at it, no doubt saying "Dear god, WHAT ... did I just drop in on?!?!". Mad respect from San Diego...

Tahiti Government needs to get some skipper protocols in place for these Code Red days.
Not letting professional athletes, skippers and film makers into the line up during these events is really bad for the industry of Teahupoo.

I made that blank for Stretch with exactly these kind of waves in mind. Cut the trees, milled the wood, shipped to the Islands, made to Stretch magic rocker and templates, most will never know the level of hard work and commitment that Stretch puts into the hand shaping and tuning, precision glass, sand and finish he puts into those tow boards and every single board he touches. Made us proud Koa. Go again.

Watched your vid at random. I do not know of you. You may be a popular vlogger. I do not know. What I do know is that viewing would be a better experience if you tried to talk in a concentrated and clear way - certainly not while having your grub. If it’s a big drama and you fear death it’s the wrong sport for you. And me as well - that’s why I would stay on dry land or wait for a smaller wave.

Towing into these waves is up there with flying down the face of a mountain with a wing suit for plain nuts.
