Mmh not really killing him, more like stopping him faking to work for the government. If there's one thing we know about Mihawk, is that he respect Shanks and they're a sort of friends. He didn't kill Luffy at the Baratie for his hat, he'll never kill him knowing he's Shanks protégé.

What's interesting about Zoro is that he seems to have to same ability as these baboons, to copy other peoples skill. I mean, Zoro only saw Kinemon use fox fire style a few times, wasn't even personally trained by him, and found out how to do it. I think it's a special kind of observation haki the the picked up from the apes. Just a thought.

We don't know to what extent he agreed with the execution of Ace, remember, he was a warlord by that point, and the marines were not taking a no for an answer regarding every member participating in the Summit War. Knowing how whimsical Mihawk was as a Warlord, I wouldn't put it past him to only participate in order to keep the title.

Mihawks observation haki has to be inferior to ussop and Rayleighs. Mihawk had to visually confirm zoro beat the baboons while Rayleigh could (and ussop) can monitor events in real time from a distance.

@@moatezmoussi9751 pre time skip rayleigh was able to tell luffy exactly how many creatures were stronger than him on the island they were training on in real time. Rayleigh was one of the few people casually using haki before the time skip. Lets not forget him being the first to casually use all 3 kinds of haki. After the time skip ussop is able to accurately "see" folks over a distance. (He also shows the ability to use observation haki in his sleep in the recent one piece movie)
