- An Oregon mother of two had the shock of her life when her 3-year-old son told her that something was wrong with his baby brother. Saydie Reedy was doing dishes when her oldest son told her, “Baby in.” She soon learned that her 10-month-old son, Kolson, had fallen 8 feet into a heating vent after her older son had pulled off the grate covering the vent. Luckily, an officer was able to crawl into the vent and push the baby back up to safety. #InsideEdition

Doing dishes w toddlers is risky lol Ive been dishes to police encounter w a toddler myself...toddler was going in and out of the kitchen door into the backyard w our puppy while I did dishes (door stayed open and was privacy fenced)...suddenly I realized, I hadn't heard any sounds for just a tad too long and looked out, gate open, baby and puppy gone...run out front, hair a mess, shirt w big wet spot, and see 2 adult heads 2 houses down swiveling back and forth...walk over and there's baby w puppy running in circles around him barking wildly, baby has shirt off in one hand swinging it in circles over his head, me: oh thank God!
