LOVE Edinburgh. The Royal Mile. The Castle. King Arthur's Seat. And more...Stayed in Leith while visiting the area. Great food. Tats, nips and haggis. Also recommend the Royal Botanical Garden. Visited in August during the Fringe Festival. Got tickets to the Tattoo which took place in the Castle hosting marching bands from all over the world. It was sheer BRAW (Awesome!)

Lived their 11 years in Linlithgow and I know very well Ediburgh town and walked all the streets and surrounding areas . But prefer live where in Portugal Sintra very happy . No going back to Scotland only to visit nothing else and the same apply to England .

That patchwork repair over those old coblestones has Sturgeons trademark stamped all over it. 1:44:57
Roads here were in a mess long before the SNP came to power.
Actually I think you will find that most repairs like that have been done by PRIVATE companies (Scottish Power, British Gas, BT etc) that lifted the cobbles to make their repairs then didn't relay them properly or even at all. the council and Scottish Government make them relay them as soon as they find out this type of 'repair/re-instatement' has been done.
