Third party lenses certainly work with the D500. I now have the Voightlander 58mm 1.4 manual lens and Laowa 15mm f/4 wide angle macro shift lens, and Laowa 60mm f2.8 Ultra Macro 2:1
I used the d5300 for a few years, I’ve currently been using the D7200 for an even longer period time (now that I’m getting consistent work and employed by my city as an event photographer)...now I looking to jump to the D500 early 2020 cause my main job is working at a nature center getting shots of birds and other wildlife ...can’t wait ...plus, I already have Sigma Art lenses 👌🏼

What AF points shall I choose for a group photo??? By f no. 1.8 or 2.8 or 3.5 When we choose 153,72 we get a single point to focus. And the rest area gets blurred. So I need a clear view. Is there any 2nd option for capturing an object with full clear. But not by increasing f no.
Hello, Tapas Mohanty Photography. I would recommend choosing an aperture from F/8 to F/11 when photographing a large group of people. If you photograph a small group you might be able to get away with a smaller aperture. If you have a group of three or more rows focus on the face that's the closest to one-third of the way through the group. In this instance I would choose the face in the middle row. If you want to increase depth of field without using a smaller F number, you can increase your subject to lens distance. Thanks for watching!
@@DigitalGojaUSA thank you for your suggestion, but in some case, only 1 member and that's a portrait shot. Keeping f2.8. I want every thing in clear starting from the object top to bottom. How's that possible?? If I keep 2.8 and target to the face, then the leg portion gets blurred. What shall I do in that case?
You're welcome, Tapas Mohanty Photography. The face and legs would have to fall on the same focus plane. If you need to keep the aperture at f/2.8 I would suggest taking a couple steps back and cropping into the photo. Otherwise, you may want to close down the lens.

ATTENTION:::::::ERROR........ Vis a vis batteries! The battery you tried (vivitar) works, most don't!!! the battery I have just comes up with a rectangle won't allow the camera to switch on! The Nikon batteries are chipped for the D500 and most 3rd party batteries are not.
Hi, the Vivitar ENEL-15 battery worked perfectly, so this must have the new chip, it only takes a matter of time before the third party manufacturers reverse-engineer the new format.
Your decision should be based on your experience. If you are a photography enthusiast and you don't want to spend quite a lot on a camera body, then go for the D7500 and save some money for lenses. On the other hand, if you are pretty much committed to photography, and you may look for the ultimate DX experience, then go for the D500. You also might want to take into consideration what kind of photos you are into, as in my opinion the D7500 turns out to be a solid "all purpose" camera, on the contrary, the D500 is specifically aimed at wildlife and sports shooters (although I would use it for landscapes as well). I have a Neewer battery grip with Neewer batteries and they work fine....

Correct! The Nikon D500 is capable of 4K Ultra High definition video up to 30fps. It is also capable of recording 1080p video up 60FPS.
