I love listening to him commentate. Well thought out. Very calming, all the while I am sitting on the edge of my seat. Video angles are the best I have seen.
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost the login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me
@Leon Moises thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
I was in this ride. Super fast guys on this day. Super impressed when the chase was brought back.... I also learned on this day that it’s really hard to stay behind Jeff’s wheel in a break xD. 400+W
I liked all these tactics. Only thing I add on within my attacks is by knowing the course. If ya got some small splits already in the field, especially near the front and peeps are beginning to sit up… if there is a technical turn also coming up then utilize that technical turn to your advantage with your attack. Any small group of folks will have a harder time taking the turn as fast as a solo person, especially with the accordion effect in motion the people behind will have to put in even more effort to catch you
‘’ I’m spun-out in my eleven’’ dude you are a monster. Not even downhill I come close of spinning out. That’s just tell me I have a lot of training to do.
It's incredible how much less power you need when you're in someone's draft. Look at 9:28: 725 W. A few seconds later, with the gap closed, the same speed is held at around 500 W
Always a great video. Thank you. I have a question. I have always watched the Tour de France, for about... 15 years. I’m really confused on where somebody like peter Sagan would excel here? besides the sprint obviously. Is he just overall better in every way or what would he look like in the pack with you guys. Obviously you are talented but I’m just not sure the difference.
SliPsHoTiFc I think TDF riders are mostly a different body type... lighter and leaner. Riding 8 hours a day is different from riding 1h. The intensity is totally different. That said, many TDF riders, especially sprinters like Sagan, could do extremely well in Crits. Think about it, Sagan is paid big bucks, Crit riders are mostly in it for the fun, not to get rich. Crits are much more fun to watch though.
@@theoriginaldimi agreed. I'd be interested to see how a seasoned track rider would do with gears and no banked turns. I think that would be fun to watch!
theoriginaldimi definitely agree with you, totally different body type builds but tdf riders average power numbers are insane referring to their TT numbers. Obviously this is far more surge style but i cant help but think they wouldnt be bad. I apologize, I’m not trying to compare but more specifically what would the excel and if so where. Most the Tour de France in not 8 hrs a day its four hours and the riders have proven time and time again their power numbers are 400 W FTP. Although this isn’t for as much money any sport where there is healthy competition the money usually doesn’t drive it. So would Caleb and Sagan just wash these guys or because of tactics and technique could these guys hold their own. I’m wayy shittier then both and i barely ride i mostly do xterra on my mountain bike and I’m a power lifter so not in any way shape or form trying to say these guys aren’t amazing. I love watching these videos.
@@SliPsHoTiFc by their shear endurance, I would imagine theyd hold their own very very well. And though Im not entirely certain of the power output in a finishing straight, Im willing to bet Sagan and Cav would put a big hurt on the Williams brothers. Either way I would pay to see that race one day.
Jeff, great channel! I’m curious, I see a lot of guys riding Specialized bikes. Is this the most popular brand in the NorCal crits? I suppose sponsorship drives the brands you ride, but what do you see the most of, second, and third, etc.? Is Canyon popular in the NorCal crits? Thanks again.
Thanks Lih. Specialized HQ is only about 25 miles away from Alviso so that's probably the main reason. I see all the major brands at races - Giant, Trek, Cannondale, etc.. in races, hard to put them in order.
If there was a way to see your team mates speed on your computer when he's back in group and you're in the breakaway group you maintain speed or do 1km more than him back in group 🤔.
Hello Pro Rider you’re fun number 1 here. don’t you think 🤔 you’re Allviso criteriums are already boring same course same people flat over flat a Boring group rides in an empty parking lot. Try to get out from you’re Zipp code and race with stronger and fast guys to get better. At less do the state race or tour of Utah or national championships you’re welcome to race here in Belgium if you can stay on cat 4/5 stage race or crit
I don’t even race but I’m glued to the screen with these vids always
Your commentary is superb, learning more and more with these videos!

NorCal Cycling Thanks for the reply. That makes sense now. Didn’t know Specialized was so close.
great channel
Nice vid yet again
Well done.
pure class
Moral of the story, pay attention to Zach
437:0. That's a nice ratio.
That full sprint sound at 0:05.... Name a bigger turn on
Love it so much, even better when doing it yourself ;)
very nice.
I Love Cycling.
What happened to Gerome?
Do you work a 9-5 or do you make money from races
Id like to start racing but i dont know if i can cover costs for a bike and a good trainer
Is this the first time you've created the breakaway in a video?
you're a beast
Is this a race?

Start selling T-shirts! (cat 5 salute design)
Another great video. Many thanks for sharing. So at the last 100-200 meters, you’re on the front small ring and hardest gear on the back?
He was in big ring for sure. It was over 60 kph.
Wow.
I don t see the numbers on the back
hit 40
