- Welcome to another video, this time I am out in the beautiful city of Birmingham for some street photography. I decided to record this as a point of view video, so you will see what I saw on the day and hear some of my thoughts on the images as I frame them up!
I hope that you enjoy the video!

You certainly have an eye for street photography Gary. Some great shots of things I'd just walk past - and I do regularly!
Tnaks very much Mark, very kind of you to say 🙂
Nice video and images Gary. The thing I like about your videos is the variety of them. Not always the same subject. I like them all wether it be Landscape, street or wildlife. Keep them coming 👍
Thanks very much Len, I do try to keep things as varied as I can 🙂
Nice video. I especially liked the shot of the man with the cabbages. Some really cool buildings too.
Thanks Sheila, very kind of you 🙂
Definitely looks an interesting place to photo
It certainly is 🙂
I enjoyed the video as usual Gary.
You captured some really nice image's as usual.
Look forward to seeing your next one.
Thanks very much Tim 🙂
Nice photos and good techniques demonstrated. However, I find the frequent transitions using black white line drawings in video footage annoying and distracting from your good photos.
Thanks, I'll bear that in mind for future videos
Street and architecture often go together. Nice work, Gary
Thanks David, very kind of you 🙂
Right up my street Gary.. yeh, I know terrible pun, enjoyed this vid, super images, if ever you're down south west (Bristol) look me up, would be cool to do a photowalk with you.
Thanks Robin, I'll bear that in mind 🙂
Nice work Gary, I particularly liked the 2nd bullring shot, nicely cropping out Frasier and Niles … the 2 cranes. Do i hear a groan?
One of my favourite comedies! 🙂
Nice one Gary Some cracking images there mate. You didn't get kicked out of Grand Central with your camera by any chance ? 🤣
Thanks Colin, I didn't 🙂
Nice one Gary. Had I known you were visiting Brum I could have guided you to a few spots. I work close to Snowhill Station and often walk about at lunchtime, sometimes with a camera. Was it a Sunday? It seemed rather quiet, especially the market.
It was actually on a Friday afternoon mate 🙂
love the reflections in the second photo Gary, and the Selfridges building always looks good to me. Next favourites would be the market shots, then the beer at the end 😁 does anyone ever challenge you when you’re doing street photography?
I can't say that I've ever been directly challenged, I've had some looks but that's about it 🙂
nice one Gary, Always a good watch.
Thanks mate, very kind of you 🙂
Lovey grading on this video mate 👍 8 or 10 bit footage?
It was shot on the GoPro Hero 7 Black so it was 8 bit I believe 🙂
Really enjoyed this one mate 👍 a nice mixture of architecture and steet. I really liked the market images, working class people making a living it's RAW photography for me (no pun intended)
Very true mate, I think they are some of my favourite images too 🙂
If only I hadn't been ill, I could have shown you the Brummie A-Z
Next time mate 🙂
Nice images Gary!
Thanks Nick 🙂
I wished I had of known you was in my city Gary I would have been there too! you got most of the classic shots and I am glad you got a few of the 15 thousand discs on Selfridges, I really enjoyed your pictures but I would say that being a Brummie....Thank you for sharing your pictures with us!
Not like the Bull Ring used't to be, and I miss the Rag Market. Guess I'm getting old, not quite rose tinted specs but the city center has lost some of its individuality.
@@iainmc9859 As a 80 something year old I can still remember the Bull ring as it used to be, and the cobbled Roads, the planners and the bulldozers done more damage to the city than Hitler! I can remember the rag market, and the open market and Woolworths, Oswold Baileys, ect.....
My mother was 'bombed out' by the Luftwaffe three times, and with three brothers as prisoners of war she may have disagreed about Hitler a little.
I'm getting nostalgic about Brutalist architecture ....@@desgardner7169
Next time I'll let you know 🙂
Im from here and there really isnt much to shoot here
