@@Zanbatoss There's a weird little exp cap when fighting enemies 22 or more levels higher than your party, which acts completely different to normal exp gains. Not sure why they did that, but it's interesting either way.
@@madusanman5 the reason why is to prevent exploiting and leveling ridiculously quick-think of the Lv100 "Blissey Base": in Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, where players would set Lv100 Blisseys with no offensive moves and a Toxic Orb, which would poison and kill them eventually-this will let you defeat them with ANY Pokémon in about 6 turns or so, even if the Pokémon is Lv1, and Blissey just so happens to give the most exp out of any Pokémon, letting you level up your Lv1 Pokémon all the way up to Lv30 or so with a single fight. Xenoblade 1 really really REALLY does not want you to try and fight enemies above your league to begin with, by making almost all your attacks fail, but if somehow you pull off a miracle and win, the developers decided to screw you from your well-deserved reward because they probably didn't want you to go out of the level curve they set for the story. Likely the same reason why enemies 6 levels below you give a pathetic amount of exp; to prevent grinding and powerleveling, keeping you in the level curve. If you ask me, it's kind of a dick move, would rather let players play however they want, but I see why they did it the way they did
@@nicocchi It's just weird how the exp cap doesn't kick in until after 22 levels. Anything 1-21 levels higher is fair game, but only after that does it start negatively effecting exp. Probably explains why some quests try to make you fight monsters that are a higher level than your party.
Nicely done! I wish I had the agility skill from Riki, it took lots of attemps for me to do this. I'm glad to see more people doing things like this in the game. Excelent job! A little tip: at 2:15 you use Shadow Eye and immediately chain attack. You have to wait until the text Physical Arts Plus appears, or it won't activate. You can see you don't have the buff icon next to your character portrait.
thx and congrats to you as well for doing the same. Well yes i am aware of the about the physical art plus appear. There was one time i nearly got it and Marcus appeared and ruined everything. The frustration of doing things many times is not fun. @@cheapercheapest5580 I know, actually that's a mistake I do a lot too. I sometimes get so nervous I have to stop to think during chain attacks. Well, I hope you keep posting good content, now that this game is getting a bit more attention. I definitely will.
anyone can do this how well you do is all about strategy and having a plan for every circumstance topple locking is also probably one of the simplest strategies out there, once you get a topple off the battle is p much over if you don't fuck up don't get me wrong, this is still impressive bc this person still had to come up with the strategy but the execution barrier is low so anyone can use the same strategy and do it.
Haha!! Again! Again! Another sweeet battle!! It was a "delicate" fight! As we all would strive at a superboss in the night! And will always thrive our builds to make it right!! Nice job! Also a few of tension up skills from Dunban's skill tree and also for the rest of the party, it's called "Warrior's ambition". I also had a few Defense Skills as well. I don't really hate much enemies from experiences... but there's the spider from Fiora's 5th skill tree, I didn't know his spike caused daze, but I didn't really want to leave the fight so I managed to kill it, but god... it took a while
I'd have quit when I saw that shit tbh. Figured when you're, yknow, fighting a level 120 UM as level 1s you need everything to go perfectly. Apparently not!
Curious, does anyone know _why_ Reyn sometimes can’t use his arts? This problem only happens to Reyn for some strange reason and I don’t know why. I don’t think this was even an issue in the original, if I recall correctly
On the subject of new bugs, anyone know why I sometimes just can't use Monado Buster? It's greyed out then sometimes springs into life for no apparent reason. Not too big of an issue since it's the worst Monado art but still
the lowest level possible is 1/1/10, Shulk, Reyn, Sharla. Reyn needs level 12 art books and Arts Cooldown Reduction from rikis skills, Topple Plus 6, and back attack 6, Sharla needs a physical build, and level 12 art books for metal blast, and if you want to do it without divine protect, cure round
Diminishing returns from defeating monsters way higher level than you. Once you're more than 20 levels below it trails off hard. When he beat them as level 20 he barely levelled up! That combined with expert mode putting most of the xp in the bank and you get a whopping 103xp. This is why people do tephra cave skips in speedruns to level fast rather than shoving Gogols off cliffs; the same rule doesn't apply to area discoveries
Cheers to you for maximizing the Topple locking and Agility's accuracy range vs high level enemies! Awesome :) How'd you know that 😆 Edit: I noticed your art have XI XII (Is this end game?), wonder if maxed out to XII hits more likely?
Wait... WHAT..... HOW?! Even with topple lock I barely got him with a level 99 party! He always broke out of topple lock and starting to decimate my party.. How do you keep him locked?
the uploader used topple VI gems on everybody and made smart use of shulk's battle soul art to maximize opportunities to use monado cyclone. squeezing out chances to use cyclone seems especially key here since this enemy's reduced topple duration ensures that two topple arts isn't enough to keep him down.
@@cqllel5186 Sharla is extremely tanky end game especially with all the armor she gets. You can stack aura heal + recovery + heal counter and someone to apply str down gem debuff to Abassy. Lv12 Shield bullet is pretty decent. Drive boost gives Sharla fast cool down for Thunderbullet and her healing kit. Melia and Riki can apply Dots from behind or in Chain attack. Lv22 Riki can actually beat Abaasy with lv 1 Shulk. But the battle is extremely long. Team Ether have much easier time fighting high level enemy because ether resist is not tied to agility. Melia enlightenment further reduce the chance of ether being resisted.
I barely did it with a team of Level 99s, congrats
Condor7215 shut up we all know this game is hard
Could you do it?!
I’ve fallen and I can’t get up: Xenoblade Edition
That moment when you beat the hardest UM in the game, and only get from level 1 to level 3 lmao
My guess is the devs just gonna assume you will go kill it with a max level party anyway so they just give bare minimum complimentary xp

This would be way harder on NG+ with Shulk, considering the level scaling of damage
I feel the monado III would compensate, like, a lot. 75% crit rate, better level scaling than monado abyss, best weapon in the game, etc.
