Ive read most of these books and they seem to match up quite well. They explain the basis of each chapter.

I am a teenager and it is kind of hard to sit and read the meanings of words I don’t really understand in the Bible, but know I enjoy watching these videos and learning more about god!

I'm about to be 16, all I can say is keep learning and try different word versions of the Bible to help you read.
The NLT is a great bible version which is easier to understand. You can get it on the Bible app (you version)
Try the ESV or the NIV!
Also pray that God may grant you understanding as you read His word
buy a concordance book ..it defines all words of the bible

Ohhhhh! I NEVER understood the parable of the prodigal son like this before: as a contrast and comparision between the needy and neglected, but humble, repentant followers versus the seemingly faithful, but haughty and self-righteous, between the poor and the religious leaders. Wow. What a revelation! Thank you.
There's a lot more to understand from it though. The brother who stayed is also someone who does good but whose heart is not aligned with what he is doing, which is seen by his bitterness. God wants our hearts and will to also want goodness; just doing things because we were asked to but without actually wanting them isn't enough. They are both squandering their inheritance in different ways, but the brother who stayed hasn't realized it.
My mind is absolutely blown with how well the Bible Project is able to connect SO MANY things together and truly show how it is an intricately and beautifully woven love story, not a random collection of tales. WOW!!!!! As I learn more and more, I see how beautiful God and His love for us is as well as the story told in the Bible. I feel so blessed and I feel like my eyes are truly open. You all at the Bible Project are soo wise and amazing! this is nothing less than a divine spiritual gift you all have! I bless the name of the Lord for you. May God profoundly bless you all!

It’s so great to see comments from teenagers here seeking meanings and to be led by the teachings from the BIble. Thank you for this service and as an adult who’s re-reading the Bible for Lent this year, these videos have proven to be little treasures. Luke is one of my favorite books in the Bible. Jesus loves the sinners. Even when they hated him, he loved them.
Here's the truth: when I hear (or hear and see in this case) the gospel.... My heart literally almost wants to explode with hope. The gospel is so amazing! It is almost fairy tale... It's almost too-good-to-be-true.. But it is true! Hallelujah! Thank you Father for Jesus & the Holy Spirit (power) of His resurrection! God bless you Bible Project. You are doing good work. Great videos! I disagree on some particular wording, though. Jesus did not make a new comparison that the Passover was like Himself, but that it ALWAYS pointed to Him. So many things foreshadow our Lord and this is definitely my favorite one. Thank you for your videos!

I listened to the audio book of Matthew last night on a different channel and so this morning I was compelled to your page to try and get a better understanding of Mark and Luke. You can lead a horse to water, but you cant make it drink. Please pray for my sister Tracy, shes on a new journey into recovery today. Please keep making videos, it's soul food for people.
Oh and you actually saved me a couple of hours of re reading so I have more time to set about helping her stay out of hospital and get better by accepting that only in Jesus name can her demons be supressed fo ever.

I love these video lessons and the insight they give. I don’t know if anyone’s commented on the inflection you use. On many sentences the end of the sentence disappears because of the contrast in volume. Especially affects me when I’m trying to listen as I drive somewhere. It occurs most when you narrate alone.

My favorite Gospel is the Gospel of John, but my 2nd favorite is the Gospel of Luke. The reason is Luke went on a research mission, finding the various witnesses of the resurrection of Jesus, primarily the apostles, and took a lot of notes. Being a doctor research came natural to him, although historical research was a little different it gives us a remarkable view of Jesus, one the other 3 Gospels don't fully give. In face all four Gospels were written uniquely. Matthew was written to the Jews, Mark was written to the Gentiles. Luke portrayed Jesus as the Son of Man, but John portrayed Jesus as the Son of God. Each Gospel is useful if read in its context, and combined with the other Gospels can really bring things to life.
