Fox bodies from first production year is 43 years old. First SN95 model year is nearly 28 years old. These are the new 65-66 Mustang for the Gen X crowd on up😳

Only problem is I don't think they will take off like a fox body. They are just one of a kind and are highly sought after cuz of weight. I don't think people are gonna want a newer mustang for racing like the foxbody. I have like 15 grand and am having a hard time finding a foxbody that's decent. But I do live in the north.

I would love to add another fox to the driveway but if I could find a 96-98 Cobra like the one in this video I would jump on it, I have always loved the look of them. If a Fox is too expensive, try out the aero Thunderbirds from that era. They aren't that different in weight, ride better, don't sound like a tin can when you close the door, and you rarely find one that's been rode hard, put away wet, and repaired with bubblegum, chicken wire, and snake oil additives before getting flipped. If you want something light, check out Fairmonts, if you want something more luxurious, try the Lincoln Vii LSC. the hop up parts are the same, you get less attention from the police yet more attention at car shows--no need for Lambo doors and smoked lights to stand out, because so few show up. Buff the paint out, put on your favorite Mustang rims, and there you are.

I have owned both foxes and sn95 cars. Both of my sn95's were cobras. I sold them both to go back to a fox. The fox just feels more raw. The sn95 isn't a bad car at all.....and they are fast in there own right. But that refined drive takes away from the American muscle car feel imo.

I think they have the perfect balance of refinement, between today’s cars and classic muscle cars, but it’s subjective…I owned a Fox in the 90s but since 2003 and up I’ve had many sn95s and prefer them…

    • @3props_does666
      @3props_does666 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@NewEdgeDesigns I can agree that the sn95/new edge are better cars. They drive better, ride better, etc. But they do not feel like a fox. They don't sound like a fox. The refinements take away the raw driver's feeling. The fox is a special car for many of us. For all it's shortcomings, it is the most flexible platform out there IMO. That said, I would gladly own a new edge. But I wouldn't choose one over a fox.

And it did get some water in it but it's not killed it will start right up. It was bought by my friend and I loved the car and he did too so we kept it in the family. But I can't stand to see it sit in my yard on pavers. It has a lot of work done to it I lost out on getting the vortex charger where it had almost 850 HP I was told and that hurt me. But I might be thinking of letting it go. The back OH it was built in south Carolina if I'm right if not it was NC then. It was named SLIMER, SLIME GREEN PAINT no back seat a sub box was built in it's spot nice hood LX body 5 star white ROUSH Racing rims 18's I think this is how long I haven't looked at it but it needs a good Home IT'S STILL A BEAUTIFUL CAR TO ME BUT I don't have the means or the time. Idk man sn95 are pretty raw. They are better made and put together cars. They are better setup factory with 5 lug, 4 wheel disks, more room for wide tires, better made interior and exterior and they are stiffer better handling cars and only weigh maybe 100 lbs more give or take they aren't that heavy and look great modded right. For the amount extra foxes cost it isn't worth it imo. I love both I've had at least 3 of both cars so I'm very familiar with what they bring to the table. Back when I had my foxes early 2000s you could find nice foxes everywhere for 3-6 grand. Not the case nowadays the prices are just stupid on them. They are rising on the sn cars as well. Plus with the coyote you can just jump in with no pushing the gas pedal turn the and go. My push rod v8 has the Mustang lope and chop. I do miss that exhaust note from the push rod . You can do the same amount of damage's to them to be killer. Even if founding a V6 SN95 for super cheap. Is my best bet. Gotta be prepared for the unexpected with any Mustang. I'll make a V6 Mustang my own since they are cheaper and not as beat to hell. Just with a lot of miles on the clocks. But I want an 94 to 98 to get the ball rolling.

For sale cheap: I have a black on black 92 Gt 5spd with documented 92k miles for sale in ME. It wouldn't start a couple years ago so its been sitting. Not sure why it wouldnt start but its probably simple. Zero rust. You could eat off the strut towers and tourqe boxes. I've owned 7 or 8 foxs and this is the tightest one. I'd like $5,000 remember thats with mint black interior. Comes with new fuel pump, new full 3g alt kit, 4" cowl hood and saleen spoiler. Identifal to this LX here but a GT. The car is not posted for sale anywhere except here. May also trade for a daily car/truck worth the same value. Thanks

Lowered SN with a 351 based stroker swap is how i went. I would probably buy another Lincoln Mark Vii before i bought a Fox. But i like being a little different.

Fox Bodies are still the cheaper cool car of their era, besides Camaros and Corvettes are cheaper. Foxes are going up but you can find a excellent notchback under 30K-40K, cheaper ones are out there. Grand Nationals, 90’s RX-7s, Supras, and 3000 GT are unaffordable for most. The prices will balance out once our generation (late 30’s-late 40’s) move on to something else, it’s the gotta have it car for now.

An excellent notch for under 40k!?!? LMFAO... Those aren't worth 10k.. I have an 01 cobra with 7800 original miles on it... what's that worth...100k?

Let me just say, I Love fox bodies. But imo, a stock Terminator will bring more money than MOST stock Fox bodies. I think for investment purposes, The Teminator is the one to get. I think the new edge body style is the one you want to get into an inexpensive mustang.

I think the 99-04 is the nicest looking mustang. The foxbody thing is all about nostalgia and that's it. They're way overpriced for what you get. I don't think the pushrod argument isn't a good one because I've been seeing so many coyote swaps and of course the dreaded LS swap🙄 the new edge cars are just better and safer vehicles. I've owned over 10 foxbody mustangs so I'm not really missing anything. But I've also seen some very decent drivable foxbodies for 10k.

Don't get me wrong but I love the mustangs but the prices are crazzy. I have had my first car since I was 18 it's a 85 thunderbird and I'm putting a coyote in it. I just picked up another 85 thunderbird with a 125,000 original miles on it it's a 5.0 none ho but still sweet needs some love but I mean I only payed $200 for it lol and it's a foxbody to they are also getting hard to find and people don't car for them I guess but I would say there a good start if u can't afford a stang

I live in Ohio and just bought a 02 mineral gray gt with 77,123 original miles from South Carolina for $13,500. All original condition, leather seats aren’t even cracked. Everyone said I could’ve bought a cobra for that much but this damn thing is clean and around here that’s very hard to find (rust). Gonna keep it forever as I’ve wanted one since I was 16. To the neigh sayers out there, find one that’s as clean and as original as mine for less and I’ll be very surprised. Money comes and goes but these cars are special and will only go up in price in years to come.

I am of two minds on the SN95's. I liked them when they were new. I don't dislike them now. Definitely not a bad car, especially with some Maximum Motorsports goodies added. Despite the way everyone hates on the 3v engine I can't manage to convince myself it wouldn't be better to go a hair newer and pick up an S197 instead.

We have a lot of haters out there! On what people are paying for cars. Well I must be one of those idiots also, when I was 20 years old I bought a new 1986 LX hatchback with the GT package owned it for 9 years put over 85000 miles on it sold it for $3000. And kicking myself for selling every since! So about two years ago I found a very rare color combination 1994 GT convertible with only 17,775 miles on it and paid $15,675. And I have put over $6000 in it already. A week ago had some lady in the parking lot asked if I wanted to sale it. Hell NO I'll never sale it as of its only less than 25,000 miles on it

In my opinion the SN95 interior holds it back. Not that the Aero Foxbody has an amazing interior but the formed rubber / plastic dash M&M styling in the SN95 is especially hideous. Even in the Terminator.

I’m considering selling my ‘93 GT. Reef Blue/Titanium. 118000 mi (190000 Km in Canada). Loaded w/leather minty no rust, mostly original aside from all the bolt-ons. Owned it for 11 yrs. Bone stock when purchased. All work done by Ford Master Tech (me). I would sink the $ into my ‘70 Duster.
    Any takers? Lol
