RIP RDGW. As an Aussie, I have always been a fan of Bob Willis. His very unique bowling style-action and his Bob Dylanesque insights, wry humour and direct talk. I first saw Mr Willis bowl in the Centenary Test of 1977 in my town of Melbourne, Australia. I then used to imitate his bowling action, but found it exhausting. My thoughts are with English cricket fans for this moment of Mr Willis' passing.
RIP Bob a legend and true honest cricketer. Will dearly miss you on the verdict. Verdict will never be the same again. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends
Legendary fast bowler...who didn’t try to imitate that unique bowling action? Became a great pundit, deeply passionate and knowledgeable about the game of cricket. Will be sorely missed. Rest in peace big man.
What i remember of him is his voice while commenting during test matches in England and the fact that he was 6'6". English test matches w/o his commentary will always be incomplete.
Gutted he featured in my earliest memories of cricket on television, he was an English cricket legend of 1970s and 1980s with him part of a colourful era of cricket died with him. Thoughts with his wife Lauren and his family.
Became my sporting hero the day he rightfully and bravely called ajmal for what he was a chucker. Although I am a paistani myself but the guy was clearly cheating.
R.I.P. Bob Willis, one of England's truly great player's🏏
RIP Bob Willis. '81, never forgotten.

Absolutely gutted. I’ve been waiting for him to return to The Verdict....Nobody does it better 😢

In sport today the words legend and hero are used far too much.
