Which ammo type did you use? Thoughts? Cool rifle, sir.

77g otm imi. I couldn't find enough blackhills ammo for the class.

2:10 the purpose of the bipod is not to hold your rifle at a sexy position when you walk away. You didn't even address if the cant ability was beneficial in shooting. You just said "Don't get it because if you set your gun down and walk away it'll fall over"

Exactly, the Harris brms bipod offers canting ability to enhance your shooting position on uneven terrain…. It also has a locking lug on the back to tighten or loosen it. Seems like a problem of not understanding your equipment not an actual equipment problem

I’d love to hear your thoughts or AAR on the class. I am taking the same class in 2023, but haven’t found a lot of info about it thus far.

I have my notes but no script written or anything filmed.
Tldr: you will be a much better shooter, you will modify your setup in class, bring 77g 556 ammo, Kyle is firm that you try things his way. Do it while in class everything stacks to solve the problems he has spent time figuring out how to teach.

Looking to attend his class next year and wanted feedback on the kd4 upper. Debating between it and a Daniel defense mk12 18" which I own. Want an accurate 16" 700yd and in upper. I shoot prs gas gun matches with my 18". Any more feedback on muzzle velocities you're getting with the KD4 would be very appreciated! Thx sir. Subscribed.

Get the kd4 upper it is awesome. It looks simple but it really lets you stretch the cartridge.

Is your 18" the mid or rifle length gas system? What MOA accuracy are you getting from it? Thanks!

Rifle length gas. The DD Mk12 is the most accurate 18" gas gun barrel I have tested. 1/2 MOA with Blackhills 77gr OTM. Shot s 3.5" group at 400yds recently. Easily gets out to 780yards.

@kiteokoh2652 great to hear. I just bought the same barrel. Now all I need is 700 yards!

as a gunsmith, without iron backup sights that rifle is worthless. The only accessory really needed is a light. without that, it's also worthless if you can't see a target in the dark.

i don't know why but you sound like the kind of guy at the public range that complains about shooting more than one round every two seconds and wants to see the tax stamp if you shoulder a pistol brace
