- Mountain Meltdown at Lutsen Mountains certainly didn't disappoint, but with sunny skies, 40+ degrees, & live bands... how could it?! Every Midwest skier/rider needs to experience Lutsen in the Spring, there are very few places like it.

Our Vlog series focuses on my experiences as I travel around the Midwest, exploring our unique ski hills. Just pure fun, skiing, and drinking - the proper Midwestern way.
First comment!!!!!!!!!
I've skied out west quite a few times in Colorado, Utah and in British Columbia (Whistler)....but Lutsen still has a special place in my heart. I've been going there since I was 13 years old (back in 1993) and I just really love the layout. I avoid it in January and I never usually go before Christmas - I've always wanted to spend an actual Xmas there though.....they've had many holiday seasons where Xmas and New Years is a powder fest. But from mid-Feb thru end of March Lutsen is usually a "can't-miss". It'll be so neat in 5-10 years when new runs start showing up and new lifts and new concession areas. I can't wait!
Second comment I love skiing at Lutsen highlight of the year
Mountain melt down is the best kept secret in the Midwest ski/snowboard scene.
Cheers to the end of the season! Bring on the mtb!!
I'm in Alaska now but I ski tofte for 30 years can't wait to do it one more time at age 61
I missed you guys up there by one week. I made my first and second visit ever up there in the last couple months and loved it. Definitely the best resort I've been to in the Midwest.
I was just there last weekend. Was able to get some pow turns on Monday morning
Welcome to the party! Wanna do the JUMP RUN! next weekend???!!
Ski the back side when the suns beating on it.
Was at Lutsen Jan 5-6 2021... Great hills. Gotta go back bc the coverage was bad (no one had snow) so no glades :/
hit lutsen for 1st time this ever apri 1st, way cool spot, great drive, great snow, fun terrain, another Amazing hill on Lake Superior, c'mon . we did not plan our hotel stay , just kinda winged it, had to drive to gran marias for a room, guess they can fill up fast? other than that, will be back. basic season pass for $400? its a steal
"Should we go ski"? No lets walk down.....
Best not to feed the seagulls
