But the 14 dollors I paid for my robust makes more sense than buying a 100 buck knife that will do the same stuff.
@@thorwannabe6810 I own a few Robusts and I also own Garberg. I paid exactly $65 for stainless version. The Garberg is bigger and thicker but it's twice expensive as Mora bushcraft black. You could also say why buy the Bushcraft black when Robust can do most of the work just as well at half the cost. Right? People get hung up on prices too much. Just buy what you need. I don't care which Mora you buy, they are all worth their price. Morakniv is a very honest company. If one model costs more than the other is because there's a reason. Thanks for reading.
There is a saying "When it comes to Moras, the cheaper the better!" Mora Bushcraft Black, is a better knife than the Garberg. Companion, Kansbol and Robust, are also way cheaper options, however really good knives for the price! Really glad for that last part of your video!! God bless
It would have to be the sword of the LORD! But for a physical knife, it's ultimately going to be the one you're actually carrying when it all goes down. It would be a tough call, but the Mora Garberg or ESEE 5
I love the Mora robust. Robust is not made for bushcraft. Even if you can use it for that, cause its as the name say, robust. Its made for carpenters and workers. It would hurt their fingers when carving if the back of the blade was sharpe becouse you sometimes have your thumb resting on the back of the blade doing that. Sorry for my bad english.
Agreed. The spine is rounded. Hard to throw sparks. A great beater knife though. In my opinion having the robust and Garberg (and Kansbol) They feel the same as far as cutting. Different handles both have a pommel, just one is full tang. I would use the Garberg for bushcraft for sure. The Robust for everything else, but I did use it as camp knife before I had the Garberg. Thank you for your comment, I value everyone's opinion!
I own a few Mora's, including a Garberg, but I wanted to pick up a Carbon Robust, and after seeing this video I believe I will. Thanks for the content and God bless you Derek!
Finally someone did a comparison like this. The garberg has come down in price to like $55 on amazon which is great, but my honest advice is save up for a LT Wright Bushcrafter or Genesis and have a cheaper blade like the mora robust for dirty work. A LTWK in scandi is amazing like a lathe in your hand. But even so my favorite knife is a $10 mora basic. You just can’t get a better knife for the money with moras.
Thanks Brother!! Agree that Jesus is the only way, truth and life, and the rescuer, savior, lord and friend to all who place their faith in him by God's grace. I also agree that the craftline robust, companion etc. are just as much knife as the bushcraft and garberg etc. I do like the Kansbol very much too, and only abt $30 bucks!! God bless and keep you!!
I have the Mora HD. It was around $18. So it fills in the spot as a smaller, lightweight bushcraft knife. I have two custom-made knives that are smaller and much more expensive. One of those is my fixed blade pocket knife and the other is my boot knife I change my big and small Spyderco folding knives I also carry depending upon what and where I'm going. Besides everyday cutting chores and defense, I don't use a knife much. My folding saws and pruners are used a ton more when I'm in the woods. A knife plays almost nothing to me for the woods. I got the Mora just because it is a good, inexpensive knife to have just in case.
Well said. I did bring the Moras camping, but generally I have my edc knife on hikes, which currently is an ESEE Izula 2, due to size carry laws in my state. But if the laws did not exist, I would carry the moras, due to the lack of weight! I have and have used saws and axes but I tend to lean on my knives more. Thank you for sharing your set up! Good word about the savior there. 👍 unfortunately the mojority of the world, don't realize that Religion is all about the sinner trying to love God, and do something for God, and hopefully be saved in the end, or not, but on the other hand, Salvation is all about how God loves the sinner, and died for him on the cross, so that he can be saved completely.
