Rolex doesn't make any sense to me. I purchased a two-tone Submariner in 1985. Back then, I went to my local Rolex AD and bought the watch. Now, you have to be on a waiting list and nobody knowns if and when the watch will come in. I was in Honolulu last year on vacation. I figured I can buy one there. That Rolex store had 3 watches on display, none for sale and a staff of 5 people standing around. This is a tourist destination and if they were fully stocked, they could be selling hundreds of watches a year. How do these stores make any money? It defies logic.
