I was next to this M818 at Bill Register's logging company in Florida a month ago! I can't wait to own one. I'm just shocked it was this exact one haha
@xmodrock well at least you don't have to worry about speeding tickets with one of these. I sold one to a guy in wisconsin who uses it to tow his drag car to the track. said it was cheaper, and way cooler than any of the 1 ton duallies he had been looking at.
Those are 48/1400×20's,the 53/1600×20's have different treads on them and are obviously a different size. The 1600×20 is what they use on Oshkosh trucks only.
@@SixSpeed5 That's not what I was grasping about buddy.I only said that THIS five ton has 1400×20's,and I said that you could tell the difference between a 1400×20 and 1600×20,other than their size. And I just mentioned that 53's are only used on the Oshkosh.

The guy who bought it lives in florida and is planning on putting dual tires on all three axles to keep it moving in the swamps
Never really left idle.
Got enough spare tires? lol that's a nice truck. it's a shame to see it go
@palonejr yeah, they are a lot of fun driven recreationally. still quieter than my VW rail buggy.
@xmodrock got one coming up with the stock tires on it for $5500
@xmodrock i have the 1400x20 tires available too.
14.00's, i have one with 16.00's (look for playing in back yard) and it is a dog on the highway.
How dose someone get one of these I've been to the government websites but they always say the auction is private???
I'm sorry to say this but you should've just kept it in 1st gear and throttle it on to the trailer. I know an older Freightliner can do it.
@HAIRBA11 lmfao true less speeding tickets.. but IDK.. a blower can be much more fun
@HAIRBA11 hmmm i gotta think about weather i want this or a blower on my cobra...
whats the mpg on that thing
3-4 MPG just driving on the street, and 6 MPG on the high way.
14.00's or 16.00's?

@@Slim_Slid Michelin X (Or XL) was available in 16.00R20 (53") or 14.00R20 (49"). That is the tread on this truck
