I don't write any comments on videos but I have to write this as I am an owner of harrier 2020 edition. Seriously, the way you concentrated only on negatives tells a lot about you and your bias. Sad to see that you have so many subscribers but at the end of the day, it's clear that you're up for sale. I love driving my car. It's smooth and as per me, it's awesome. I never felt that I spent my money on a product that's inferior(I'm salaried and I hope you understand that I work my ass off to earn that money and would take every possible step to let it go down the drain). I enjoy the ride every single time.
My friend chose rear middle seat for entire trip as she thinks that is the most comfortable place to be in. Although our 2200kms trip was amazing without any discomfort and I drove for about 1200 kms and never felt tired. I love my Harrier Camo. ❤❤
Best review of harrier so far. Even Team BHP missed many points. 1. "Small things makes perfection. But perfection is not a small thing". TATAs still don't have any idea about this concept. 2. I worked with TATAs. Their work culture is like government offices. They need to change it but it looks impossible. 3. 25 lakhs on road price is huge. Buyers will expect a much perfect car at this price. 4. Only front wheel drive available. Very disappointing for such a big and expensive car.

Congratulations to them! :-) All those claws and flaws are marketing approaches to encourage people to show interest and buy their products some talk to show build , some comfort , some performance, and so on. Every people in india is not much informed on cars, for them cars r still a 4 wheeler commuter or a railing mobility to go here n there and some with comfort n pleasure putting smile on thier face. jeep,, Bolero , scorpio , safari , are/were legends but do u give me a sedan and luxury sedan name or its indian brand . Other than TATA ,Mahindra is still not planned to focus on sedan , i also heard today about their hopes to RISE with korean subsidiary was unsuccessful.
@Sahil A. First version of harrier was launched in 2019. Just within 1 year they launched next version with toooo many changes and features such as AT, moon roof, BS6 engine, even the engine power is increased. Feeling sad for the initial buyers who blindly trusted TATA just a year ago. I am not against TATA, I am against their way of working like a govt company. Instead of asking people to buy low quality Indian products in the name of nationalism, ask Indian companies to improve quality of their products in par with international companies. That is true nationalism.
Tata must hire him for Q & A team. He has done a wonderful review of small issues, which will improve the ownership and long term product quality. Very good job brother. He must do a detailed review of other products as well, else it will be biased.

Took a test drive today. Few good things of this car are solidly built body you feel safe and secure, Great ride quality felt like a very premium car, fantastic front and rear seats very comfy and feels premium to sit on, cabin feels premium as well. Downsides are engine still feels noisy, steering felt a bit heavy and cumbersome as it’s hydraulic and not electric which is good in highways though but not in city.
I have been driving harrier for a month now sooo nice to drive gives me soooo much confidence on the road I get a feeling of safety Drives beautifully Clutch goes a bit deep but I got used to it in a week Overall a great car if u have the budget I love itttt ❤️❤️❤️

I'm a harrier owner and i think Tata can add more betterment in its features specially in display, middle stering design that's look like a old truck's stering,, material quantity is very good but their point locking is not so good, AC and speakers are performing well, No other issue i have 🙏

Main issue for many people avoiding this suv is, very heavy steering wheel makes it difficult for city drive, and you don't buy cars just for highway drives.
Harrier plus points 1. Head turner design 2.170 ps fiat multijet engine 3.hyundai sourced torque converter one the best proven and reliable gearbox. 4.can easily accommodate 5 people. 5. Range rover DNA plus good SUV feel. 6.different drive modes,ESP, terrain response system. 7.panoramic sunroof 8. Tata's Solid build quality Need improvement in following 1. No rear disc brakes 2. No paddle shifters 3. Heavy steering compared to compass.( Due to hydraulic steering) 4.touch screen issues, even in BS6 version touch response is poor. And poor quality reverse camera 5.No 360 degree camera (it will be very useful for such a big car. 6.powered tail gate. 7.lack of engine options like in MG hector.( Petrol automatic) 8. NCAP crash test is unknown ( hope it will get 5 star rating) 9.connected car features ( some customers demands this features too) 10. Range rover DNA but no 4x4 option Or AWD 11. Tata's pathetic service, always hit or miss.( I heard they improved drastically still improvement is required) 12. Ventilated seats 13. Tyre pressure monitoring system Harrier top model is almost 3.5 lakhs more expensive than mg hector top model. I wish tatamo must add some more feature in next facelift ( we know it's mostly gimmicks) but we don't want to see the same fate happened to most capable muv hexa.If tatamo add some more features they can attract seltos,mg hector and creta customers to this segment. Hope tatamo is listening to us. But,still my vote for tata harrier.
Steering is heavy only while car parking.. or when you are in sports mode with speed below 10kmph.Else it’s super smooth and fairly light. In my BS6 harrier. No idea about BS4. I have 5 cars. At my home, but I found harrier to be the best with its ride comfort and sense of safety. Over all .. steering is not heavy while driving. Before buying we too were worried of it.. due to some TH-cam videos, but didn’t found it to be an issue at all. We have driven more than 4000km.. and found it to be super comfortable. Those who wish , can go with it without any doubt

@Uday Nair hyundai feels shit on highway but a delight in city traffic. Harrier feels good on highway but might create a problem in city especially people with skinny arms. Every car has some issues. Ford feels planted but the spare parts are too expensive and also difficult to find also when i drove ecosport it creates a problem in hilly areas due the its weight. No car is perfect hut if tata want to beat hyundai and suzuki they have to work on quality control
Very good review. I thought Tata as a brand corrected themselves to stand for perfection in quality, no they did not. Thanks for pointing out. You can easily displace their quality department head. Such great observations. Hope Tata listens and corrects all these issues without raising cost. I am being optimistic and going to stay invested in their stock for next 3+ months.

Hi Gagan. Excellent and very thorough review. Very genuine. Undoubtedly one of the best one can find over internet or TH-cam. One feedback if you wish that will standardized your reviews and shall help for any comparative review. I feel you can set a standard flow of reviews with standard camera angle for all your car reviews. Example - you can start with grill for all cars at a fixed distance and at same camera angle, then move on to next feature. You can set the sequence for the feature list. By doing this, if your viewers tomorrow request you a comparative review of two different cars in a segment it would be easier for you to edit and share and for your viewers it would be easier to do peer comparison. Brother, detailed review and you covered each and every minute details, some I felt issue with the one you have. Good efforts. You missed to give the proper weightage for the advantages and hence seems like biased for many. As a total package Harrier is the best option in this segment especially with latest update on Engine and automatic transmission and it even beats all its competitors in riding comfort, stability, spacious interior, road presence and smoothness. A true SUV. Salute to Tata for its dedication and improvements in recent years.

I have fortuner too and harrier definitely drives much better than fortuner. Fortuner ke body roll to kasam se aadmi ek konese dusre side ke darwaze pe na pahunch jaye 😄
Gagan Chaudhary : This review sounds completely misleading. Me owning the same model that you reviewed can vouch that none of the features you mentioned as Cons actually hamper the ownership experience at all. To clarify a few, that cabin light you were unable to switch off gets switched off by just pressing that button once. The sound system is excellent unlike any in its class. Automatic transmission works like breeze, HID automatic headlamps create wonderful visibility. Rear seats are extremely comfortable. The voice notifications can be turned off from settings if anyone wants(very subjective). Ride quality is just so balanced and planted which inspires a lot of confidence both at average and super high speeds. Honestly, an extremely worthless review which misleads any prospective buyer.
Even though I will buy this instead of Germans (anti Indian) cars which gives excellent engines cheap interiors and zero after sales service at a very high price.
On the drive impressions, I've had some issues as well.. didnt feel that great during test drive.. probably it's that particular unit which had issues.. But comfort is amazing! Lumbar support is really good..
Very honest review. Attention to detail was nice which is usually missing in other reviews. Tata should take the comments in a positive way and improve quality control. However it a great car and a blast to drive.

No, sales are decent near 900 to 1000 which is decent for big Car , then it keep fluctuating between 500 to 1000. And as petrol engine is not offered yet so this also had impact on sales. But now Petrol engine is coming in Harrier which will improve it sales .
I disagree with you, it needs lots of improvement, Still in bs6 also. Poor engine refinement for long journey listening engine noise continously is a headache 😑

That way if this is bad then u can never think of fortuner which sounds worse that this... But no one would point fortuner as they have a pre mindset where fortuner is good... Do drive and u will understand the exaggeration with auto journalist... Just imagine a guy saying door top plastics should be soft touch which he would never say for hector and none of it's competitors come with any soft touch materials... harrier still has soft dash which is not there with hector...and hector is also audible post 3000 rpm but less...

He was not being biased he was just pointing out some things like panel gaps 4:43 , fit and finish 7:43 and some other things which a customer expects to be perfect when he spends 20 lakhs on a car but Tata fanboys don’t won’t to see anything negative about harrier and if anyone says anything negative about the car. They start saying you are biased but in reality those fanboys are biased about a specific car. So just be neutral.

I don't know whether paid or not paid review, but the practical problems covered by Gagan are indeed required to be addressed by Tata such as cabin finishing, alignment of curves for rear, vibrations etc.. However u should also cover the platform on which tata harrier is build which is more safe than any other car .
Very good detailed review👍. I have seen many harrier videos in TH-cam but no one told about Body panel gaps. base model XE lands on 16.5 lakh, and we didn't get touch screen music system,no automatic irvm, no electrically foldable lock unlock OVRM, no vanity mirror on both sides, no front parking sensor, no ventilated seats. 16.5 lakh on road is not a small amount. On this price point others car are fully loaded. Tata should add features to increase sales.

In my opinion, two things Harrier definitely lacks in the price segment : 1) Connected car tech 2) rear seat centre adjustable headrest Some features which can also be added/improved : * Warranty should be increased to 3 years instead of 2 (because every other car in the segment has 3 years of warranty atleast). * Ambient lighting (which is aesthetically pleasing) * Electronic tailgate
@@Questlogscribe Nah, I'd rather not have them. Manual parking breaks are so much more practical and fun. Electronic parking breaks are just a hype and nothing else. Manual parking brakes can be used in drifting, they are easy to use and simply just make more sense when it comes to practicality

Drove a harrier today both in city and highway. Covered almost 200 km. What I feel is, the ride quality and confidence on highway (at 80+ speed) is superb and solid. But when it comes to city driving in slow traffic, the steering is way too heavy. Other than that, it a fantastic car.
Hey Gagan! I just took the test drive today. I felt that torque steer as well. I drive a Figo, and it handles way better - so the difference was more apparent for me. Thanks for highlighting this! Hope Tata fixes this in the next iteration
@ Omkar I drove Figo for 10 years and it’s steering is unmatchable. However both are entirely different vehicles. We will get use to new steering in 2 days time it’s not a big deal.. Harrier and cannot be compared .. Creta is a shitty vehicle though it’s selling Harrier is a real sUv with awe some road presence and unmatchable highway stability for any kind of bad road
@@srinivasj2761 I agree.. shouldn't really compare Figo with Harrier, but I do miss the agility. Maybe that's just true for all SUVs. Creta steering (and most Hyundai) is absolute junk. Their CRDi engines are great, but some wise people are buying SUVs also in petrol now :P
Bhai there are no such brand who is making 💯 %perfect products, even german brands have there pros n cons.. We should proud of our INDIAN brands like TATA which are now capable of being global product.. At least we should support them socially by not misguiding people's to buy or not to Indian brands...With in 5 to 10 year I believe TATA will be India's largest selling passenger vehicle company....

Aur jahan tak Hyundai ki baat hai - maine dono Hyundai aur Tata ki gaadi bahut chalayi hai to mujhe pata hai k Hyundai k engine ki smoothness zada behtar hai. Aur kuch fit and finish bhi zada behtar hai. I have faced engine overheat issues and clutch/gear issues in Tata Tiago par ye sab sudhaar kar chuki hai Tata. Great going Tata. But 19 - 20 ka fark hai. Aur main next waali gaadi Indian brand ki hi lunga 😎😎
Gagan this is a bad and propogated review. I have seen many reviews from you. You downgrade every other car but hyundai. Bad of you. Firstly, you very cleverly parked the car on a muddy terrain so that people cannot see tyre quality. Secondly, you are nitpicking. I dont see any major fault in the interiors. Thirdly, you said car viberates when idling. For your information engine still is a mechanical compistion it is bound to viberate a bit although your "canon" camera failed to capture major tremors. Gagan. based on many videos, you have lost my respect. Yes, people are right when they call you hyundai's sales man. I think car mfd should initiate an action against you.
If you are paying 24 lacs for a car, there should ZERO electronic issues. Touchscreen and even light bugs are no small fault in such an expensive car. sunroof is open with two ways that;s why they have given 3 button and also if you want to open or close everything there is one button also : just to improve your knowledge for this car

Since Tata is the owner of the jaguar and Range Rover Tata should enhance its interior especially the touchscreen, the response is so slow..... and the over all panel can also upgrade. The camera quality is so poor even Maruti provide better reverse camera under 9 lakh..... moreover even we are giving 22-24 lakhs atleast we would expect a little more feature like ventilated seats, wireless chargers, less viberation, led lamps, a little more cushioned seats, a little bigger touch screen. These are some minor changes but these are the changes which would attract more customers and promote made in India and will give us a more satisfied feeling that our money 💴 is well spend.
Very nice review Gagan. We need more unbiased reviewers like you. People blindly support TATA, but when you are actually spending near 25L, you don't expect to see so many inconsistencies. In my opinion, Tara's Nexon and Hexa are still much better and well rounded products than Harrier.
I'm a Harrier 2020 BS6 owner has driven about 1200KMS , bought it cancelling Hector considering its a new brand, plus a Chinese car ..nahhh and have no idea wats the future for MG TH Pros: Diesel Engine is super refined..feels like petrol engine Manual gear shift is super smooth Light clutch as opposed to MG Diesel Great HVAC 170 PS Power is great Drive modes are super useful and works like a charm Ride quality excellent Handling is great on highways Easy to drive in city as well Looks are dashing Super premium interior Panoramic Sunroof is like woahhh I can't take my eyes off of the car .. Cons: Average Infotainment for premium price, should have had better screen... No TPMS at this price point No power tailgate like MG No LED indicators and Fog lamps .. should've been all LED setup Wish had a AWD....for a 23lakh car...

I love driving my car. It's smooth and as per me, it's awesome. I never felt that I spent my money on a product that's inferior(I'm salaried and I hope you understand that I work my ass off to earn that money and would take every possible step to let it go down the drain). I enjoy the ride every single time.

1. "Small things makes perfection. But perfection is not a small thing". TATAs still don't have any idea about this concept.
2. I worked with TATAs. Their work culture is like government offices. They need to change it but it looks impossible.
3. 25 lakhs on road price is huge. Buyers will expect a much perfect car at this price.
4. Only front wheel drive available. Very disappointing for such a big and expensive car.

Just within 1 year they launched next version with toooo many changes and features such as AT, moon roof, BS6 engine, even the engine power is increased. Feeling sad for the initial buyers who blindly trusted TATA just a year ago. I am not against TATA, I am against their way of working like a govt company.
Instead of asking people to buy low quality Indian products in the name of nationalism, ask Indian companies to improve quality of their products in par with international companies. That is true nationalism.

Took a test drive today. Few good things of this car are solidly built body you feel safe and secure, Great ride quality felt like a very premium car, fantastic front and rear seats very comfy and feels premium to sit on, cabin feels premium as well. Downsides are engine still feels noisy, steering felt a bit heavy and cumbersome as it’s hydraulic and not electric which is good in highways though but not in city.
how noisy is the harrier engine? will it become bothersome & tiring in a long road trip?

Main issue for many people avoiding this suv is, very heavy steering wheel makes it difficult for city drive, and you don't buy cars just for highway drives.

3.hyundai sourced torque converter one the best proven and reliable gearbox.
4.can easily accommodate 5 people.
5. Range rover DNA plus good SUV feel.
6.different drive modes,ESP, terrain response system.
7.panoramic sunroof
8. Tata's Solid build quality
Need improvement in following
1. No rear disc brakes
2. No paddle shifters
3. Heavy steering compared to compass.( Due to hydraulic steering)
4.touch screen issues, even in BS6 version touch response is poor. And poor quality reverse camera
5.No 360 degree camera (it will be very useful for such a big car.
6.powered tail gate.
7.lack of engine options like in MG hector.( Petrol automatic)
8. NCAP crash test is unknown ( hope it will get 5 star rating)
9.connected car features ( some customers demands this features too)
10. Range rover DNA but no 4x4 option Or AWD
11. Tata's pathetic service, always hit or miss.( I heard they improved drastically still improvement is required)

Harrier top model is almost 3.5 lakhs more expensive than mg hector top model.
I wish tatamo must add some more feature in next facelift ( we know it's mostly gimmicks) but we don't want to see the same fate happened to most capable muv hexa.If tatamo add some more features they can attract seltos,mg hector and creta customers to this segment.

But,still my vote for tata harrier.
Steering is heavy only while car parking.. or when you are in sports mode with speed below 10kmph.Else it’s super smooth and fairly light. In my BS6 harrier. No idea about BS4. I have 5 cars. At my home, but I found harrier to be the best with its ride comfort and sense of safety. Over all .. steering is not heavy while driving. Before buying we too were worried of it.. due to some TH-cam videos, but didn’t found it to be an issue at all. We have driven more than 4000km.. and found it to be super comfortable. Those who wish , can go with it without any doubt

@Uday Nair hyundai feels shit on highway but a delight in city traffic. Harrier feels good on highway but might create a problem in city especially people with skinny arms. Every car has some issues. Ford feels planted but the spare parts are too expensive and also difficult to find also when i drove ecosport it creates a problem in hilly areas due the its weight. No car is perfect hut if tata want to beat hyundai and suzuki they have to work on quality control

Very good review. I thought Tata as a brand corrected themselves to stand for perfection in quality, no they did not. Thanks for pointing out. You can easily displace their quality department head. Hi Gagan. Excellent and very thorough review. Very genuine. Undoubtedly one of the best one can find over internet or TH-cam. One feedback if you wish that will standardized your reviews and shall help for any comparative review. I feel you can set a standard flow of reviews with standard camera angle for all your car reviews. Example - you can start with grill for all cars at a fixed distance and at same camera angle, then move on to next feature. You can set the sequence for the feature list. By doing this, if your viewers tomorrow request you a comparative review of two different cars in a segment it would be easier for you to edit and share and for your viewers it would be easier to do peer comparison. As a total package Harrier is the best option in this segment especially with latest update on Engine and automatic transmission and it even beats all its competitors in riding comfort, stability, spacious interior, road presence and smoothness. Gagan Chaudhary : This review sounds completely misleading. Me owning the same model that you reviewed can vouch that none of the features you mentioned as Cons actually hamper the ownership experience at all. To clarify a few, that cabin light you were unable to switch off gets switched off by just pressing that button once. The sound system is excellent unlike any in its class. Automatic transmission works like breeze, HID automatic headlamps create wonderful visibility. Rear seats are extremely comfortable. The voice notifications can be turned off from settings if anyone wants(very subjective). Ride quality is just so balanced and planted which inspires a lot of confidence both at average and super high speeds. Honestly, an extremely worthless review which misleads any prospective buyer.

I don't know whether paid or not paid review, but the practical problems covered by Gagan are indeed required to be addressed by Tata such as cabin finishing, alignment of curves for rear, vibrations etc..
However u should also cover the platform on which tata harrier is build which is more safe than any other car .

I have seen many harrier videos in TH-cam but no one told about Body panel gaps. base model XE lands on 16.5 lakh, and we didn't get touch screen music system,no automatic irvm, no electrically foldable lock unlock OVRM, no vanity mirror on both sides, no front parking sensor, no ventilated seats. 16.5 lakh on road is not a small amount. On this price point others car are fully loaded. Tata should add features to increase sales.

I haven’t seen a better review of a car on youtube! I loved how you pointed out such minor issues like the tail light misalignment, start switch paint scratch and other such minor things. Well done. Hope Tata is watching this and improves on its quality!
In my opinion, two things Harrier definitely lacks in the price segment :
1) Connected car tech
2) rear seat centre adjustable headrest
Some features which can also be added/improved :
* Warranty should be increased to 3 years instead of 2 (because every other car in the segment has 3 years of warranty atleast).
* Ambient lighting (which is aesthetically pleasing)
* Electronic tailgate
Electronic parking brake with auto hold
@@Questlogscribe Nah, I'd rather not have them. Manual parking breaks are so much more practical and fun. Electronic parking breaks are just a hype and nothing else. Manual parking brakes can be used in drifting, they are easy to use and simply just make more sense when it comes to practicality

Note: The operation of sunroof can be done as a whole using single button also, so @Gagan please use the sunroof properly before making a complaint. Otherwise u are doing a great job.
Drove a harrier today both in city and highway. Covered almost 200 km. What I feel is, the ride quality and confidence on highway (at 80+ speed) is superb and solid. But when it comes to city driving in slow traffic, the steering is way too heavy. Other than that, it a fantastic car.
I want to meet those drivers who drive tata's testing vehicles and can't find any flaws in them.

I just took the test drive today. I felt that torque steer as well. I drive a Figo, and it handles way better - so the difference was more apparent for me. Thanks for highlighting this! Hope Tata fixes this in the next iteration
@ Omkar I drove Figo for 10 years and it’s steering is unmatchable. However both are entirely different vehicles. We will get use to new steering in 2 days time it’s not a big deal..
Harrier and cannot be compared .. Creta is a shitty vehicle though it’s selling Harrier is a real sUv with awe some road presence and unmatchable highway stability for any kind of bad road
@@srinivasj2761 I agree.. shouldn't really compare Figo with Harrier, but I do miss the agility. Maybe that's just true for all SUVs. Creta steering (and most Hyundai) is absolute junk. Their CRDi engines are great, but some wise people are buying SUVs also in petrol now :P
Bhai there are no such brand who is making 💯 %perfect products, even german brands have there pros n cons.. We should proud of our INDIAN brands like TATA which are now capable of being global product.. At least we should support them socially by not misguiding people's to buy or not to Indian brands...With in 5 to 10 year I believe TATA will be India's largest selling passenger vehicle company....

Aur jahan tak Hyundai ki baat hai - maine dono Hyundai aur Tata ki gaadi bahut chalayi hai to mujhe pata hai k Hyundai k engine ki smoothness zada behtar hai. Aur kuch fit and finish bhi zada behtar hai. I have faced engine overheat issues and clutch/gear issues in Tata Tiago par ye sab sudhaar kar chuki hai Tata. Great going Tata.
But 19 - 20 ka fark hai. Aur main next waali gaadi Indian brand ki hi lunga 😎😎

Firstly, you very cleverly parked the car on a muddy terrain so that people cannot see tyre quality.
Secondly, you are nitpicking. I dont see any major fault in the interiors.
Thirdly, you said car viberates when idling. For your information engine still is a mechanical compistion it is bound to viberate a bit although your "canon" camera failed to capture major tremors.
Gagan. based on many videos, you have lost my respect. Yes, people are right when they call you hyundai's sales man. I think car mfd should initiate an action against you.
If you are paying 24 lacs for a car, there should ZERO electronic issues. Touchscreen and even light bugs are no small fault in such an expensive car. You seem to be emotionally biased because it is an Indian car, but you shouldn't be. Only criticism can drive our homegrown manufacturers to success.

Since Tata is the owner of the jaguar and Range Rover Tata should enhance its interior especially the touchscreen, the response is so slow..... and the over all panel can also upgrade. The camera quality is so poor even Maruti provide better reverse camera under 9 lakh..... moreover even we are giving 22-24 lakhs atleast we would expect a little more feature like ventilated seats, wireless chargers, less viberation, led lamps, a little more cushioned seats, a little bigger touch screen. These are some minor changes but these are the changes which would attract more customers and promote made in India and will give us a more satisfied feeling that our money 💴 is well spend.
Very nice review Gagan. We need more unbiased reviewers like you. People blindly support TATA, but when you are actually spending near 25L, you don't expect to see so many inconsistencies.
In my opinion, Tara's Nexon and Hexa are still much better and well rounded products than Harrier.

I'm a Harrier 2020 BS6 owner has driven about 1200KMS , bought it cancelling Hector considering its a new brand, plus a Chinese car ..nahhh and have no idea wats the future for MG

Drive modes are super useful and works like a charm

I can't take my eyes off of the car ..
Cons:
Average Infotainment for premium price, should have had better screen...
No TPMS at this price point
No power tailgate like MG
No LED indicators and Fog lamps .. should've been all LED setup
Wish had a AWD....for a 23lakh car...
