How to remove the black (sometimes gray or white) bar at the bottom of your iPhone screen, especially for games. iPhone 13 Pro Max used running iOS 16.

That with face ID option now is so cool. Just set the code once then after just triple clic to activate and double to desactivate. No code needed and quick to operate. No more bar and annoying notifications. Kinda a game mode that should exist since a long time
Steps, no video: Settings- Control Center- ADD Guided Access Leave settings- Swipe down from the TopRight and Tap the Guided Access Button has Dotted Lines around a 🔒, tap to turn on Guided Access and close the Settings app, swipe down from the TopRight and tap the 🔒, Press START, make passcode. Triple click power button and enter passcode and you can turn off Guided Access

I was trying to play a favorite game of mine and kept swiping out of the game during difficult stages when trying to select things frantically, but my phone thought I was trying to leave the app constantly. Really dumb way for them to implement this bar. It's frequently in the way of text and things to tap on (like games), rarely helpful (I accidentally leave apps more than intentionally), and I had no idea this was how to get rid of it. XD Now I can game in peace from that cursed bar lmao. This solution works great for me.

when i did this it took me to the apple wallet thing and now i cant get out because its telling me to double tap the side bar to use the apple wallet so when i triple click it dosent work
My phone updated and now I have the crappy bar that's incompatible with all my other apps that require a swiping motion! They didn't warn me or even give me an option . I'd get stuck on the TH-cam search bar thing cause I couldn't close out cause usually that would be swiping up but that just closed me out of the app. it took me like a whole day to figure out how to get to tabs , I had like 7 tabs open my phone was chuggin'! Thank you!

I’ve been just cropping out the line and it’s very annoying :/ so thank goodness for all this lol

I just bought my first iphone and have to say that theres an insanely huge ammount things that are missing that android phones have. Putting icons at the bottom of the screen, browsing all files that are on the phone, downloading music into your files and listening to it with the music app, hiding this bar that is mentioned in the video or putting it to the side. Just basic things that should be in the phone.
I tried this and now I can’t do it, I have all the settings and stuff checked multiple times, but it won’t work and I pressed the big button 3 times without it turning off and lock still nothing.
i found support cases going back several years in apple support asking for an option to hide it but apple just ignores it.... Someone said there was a way when you use task manager , ipad m1,m2 , but no reply when i asked how then. Anyone knows?
Off-topic from iPhone but I have a question about MacBook Pro. Being sight impaired I use a lot of accessibility items on Apple products. However, On Windows I always dock a magnifier at the top of the screen so anything under the pointer shows up in the Magnifier making it possible for me to read it. Is there anything similar to that on a MacBook? I already have icon/text enlarged as much as is allowed but there is a minimal help. Thanks for any help you can give

I hate that it makes you think about it for like a nanosecond to long cause it has to do a whole fancy transition . It breaks my immersion. I think they did it like that on purpose, like a design psychology thing, if your forced to pay attention to the mechanics instead of it just fading into the background seamlessly you have to acknowledge that it exists and itight give the allusion it's 'fancier' . It's just slow annoying and sparkly.

The stupid thing about it is that you can’t swipe or exit apps until you disable guided access. I had the bar gone, but my screen would lock me in the app I was using.
