I was introduced to the F11 4K pro by your reviews. I was convinced that this is the one I want for my first drone. I've loved how it performs. Great camera, especially with the EIS. I've become more comfortable with my operating skills, and have even done pictures and video for the place I work, and also others who have seen the quality. I'm looking for something with more range, and with that I'm wondering if I need something with obstacle avoidance in order to expand my skills. I've had some issues operating in my home area because of the amount of trees and have crashed a few times while gaining experience. I've been looking at the F11S 4K PRO, and also another review you've done with the SJRC F22S. Pros and Cons are just out of my league when it comes to choosing the one that would work best for me. I thank you for any advice. Keep up the Great work. Your reviews are spot on, and easy for someone new like me to understand. Your the first one I go to when interested in what's our there.
I purchased the F11 4k Pro. Was a great drone for starting out. If I would be purchasing my first drone now, it would be the F22s 4k Pro. Distance is better, and at least some obstacle avoidance. I think cameras are the same, and I was happy with the F11 4k Pro
Just got mine today! What a wonderful cheap drone... Video quality is excellent! Found the gimbal tilt gets messed up when you don't gyro calibrate before every flight. Takes a second and not a hassle!

Thanks for the review of this F11s. This will be my first drone at 62yrs. I bought mine through Walmart, even though it is still coming from China. The price is similar to Banggood, but I have a brick and mortar to deal with if there are any issues. This seems to have all the features needed as well as distance with connectivity. There are more choices than you can shake a stick at for the price point, but if I like it, I'll step up to a swoopy drone that can boogie. This one should be good for scenic stuff and having fun.
Not even close. I bought this drone under the RUKO F11 GIM 2 name $400 and the Mavic mini SE FOR $299. Mavic mini SE is lightyears ahead of this thing. If the price point for this drone is between 150-200 then it is worth considering for sure.

Finally SJRC made a better version of the original, super famous cheap drone SJRC F11... I may not buy it (Might buy DJI Mavic 3 Pro instead) but I am sure that it is a superb beginner drone... 3 KM is more than enough for a beginner drone, 4K camera is so good and gets better because of the 2-axis gimbal! (3-axis was most welcomed btw) Looks beautiful and performs nicely, that means it is going to be more famous than other Beginner drones!

Large drones are no longer popular due weight and drone rules in each country so the models your looking for may only be available on eBay. DJI still makes the Phantom 4 Pro and older used models are easy to find. Swellpro and Yuneec still make large drones.
I recently bought the SJRC F11S 4K Pro to learn on, I only paid $227 with a coupon code with 2 batteries. I bought the DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo & Mavic AIR 2 Fly More Combo a few months ago and haven't taken them out of there boxes yet. I just charged the batteries for the SJRC & I'm going to take my first flight in a few hours. I hope it's as good as the reviews say it is.

Also theres the ones that claim they are reviewing something but never speak, just music in the whole video. Great under $200 drone , will really do 3 km ,almost 2miles, getting one for grandsons and daughter Christmas 🎄, thxs Steve, very durable and built drone
Hey Craig I don't know if you got the drone already or not, but I got mine a couple of days ago, and I can tell you it definitely does do the three kilometers easy. The image is smooth there's no break up on the return to home when it turns around and it's amazing. The only issue I was having is the app will crash just random. But once you reestablish the connection your fpv comes back and everything is fine.
Thank you for the video. I was contemplating to buy this or F22s, or F5s, they all have the same camera specs. But in the end I bought DJI Mini 2 SE, lower resolution camera, but higher quality video results with smoother flight controls. Not to mention twice the price. 🙈
I got an issue under this drone, I can't see any satellites on!! Always searching for it and can not found! I did a lot of calibration and nothing! also, reinstalled the apps lots of times. always in open fields. Any kind of tips will be appreciated!
The drone will only search for sats if it receives a proper compass calibration. Are you sure you are doing it correctly (i.e., you put the drone in compass calibration mode as per the instructions).
Seems it's broken. You can try this. In the SJF Pro app go to settings, the four dots in the top right corner. Then PTZ Adjust. Click on 'Restore Factory Settings. I'm not sure it will reset all settings. I use it when the gimbal went all crazy and that worked. Maybe it will reset the GPS module as well?

SJRC is my first Drone and I am having a lot of hours using it until I crashed it on a coconut tree, it's arms thing broke and the wires are disconnected. I repaired it with those 5 minute epoxy thing and back in flight again until the battery bulges and won't fit anymore. The Drone is F11, not the pro and not the 4k. It can only do 1080p video and it's wobbly and has the weird fish-eye lens effect thing. But have almost the same features as on the newer models. You can fly it with the GPS disabled but it would drift anywhere.
God Cap it seems like just a month ago, I asked you which was Best, and I went with the MJX Bugs 4w 4k, That now belongs to My Dad, and I own a Dji Mini 2 combo, this would never have happened to me if I hadn't found your channel so Thank you very much for all your help. Captain Drone ... while I always enjoy your reviews, I have to disagree with one thing you said on this one ... it's regarding the "Compass Calibration". The ONLY time I calibrate my SJRC F11 Pro 4k is when I am flying in a NEW location. If I fly out back behind my condo, I calibrate it the 1st time and maybe made 50 flights after that and never re-calibrated it. It always flew perfectly. When I go to my daughters house and fly there, I calibrate it for THAT location. Same goes for any other NEW spot I fly and that includes going back to my condo site. But in all cases, I only calibrate it the FIRST time at each location, change batteries and fly again as often as I want over several days, etc.. It is very easy to calibrate and I do like that you do NOT need the app to do this. Now, I really like the version you are reviewing here because it has the upgraded Transmitter with LED screen showing telemetry of battery, height, distance, etc ... and no more silly back-lit pre-printed screen! So, if you just do some LOS sport flying and don't use the app, you still have that information available ... nice! IF it also had the Optical Flow Camera I would absolutely buy one of these, unfortunately it does not. Anyway, keep up the good work. I'm always looking for your reviews.

I recently bought the sjrc f11s, 2 concerns: 1) there is no wire in either antenna on the controller. 2) the signal strength bar on the right only goes half way up. Should I be concerned about range?
I just got my F11S. I powered up the drone and connected to the controller a couple of times. Now the ESCs process will not complete. I get the three beeps followed by one long beep but the second long beep will not play, so the drone will not power on. Ever had that happen to a drone?
I bought a new f11s pro drone and I have a problem with the controller, after I turned it on for the first time I couldn't turn it off. When I connected it to charging, it turned off and now I can't turn it on, it just says bat 100 pct. I am asking for help. Best regards.

I woulda like to see the fail safe disconnect from the controller Rth, also the connection loss of FPv via phone app, also how it flys in the high wind.. City reception is the big test over noisy metro area.
@spiritualwarrior the first day I got mine it was a very windy day and it handled the wind quite well. I think the wind was over the rating of this drone but it still handled it. As for the failsafe and the fpv I have had a lot of the app crashing when I'm out at a short distance or a far distance. I'm able to reconnect , but for some reason during the app crash the drone does not lose signal to the controller so that's a good thing. Then once you reestablish the fpv and the app you pick up right where you were but there's no loss of signal to the drone. Also I'm not in the city and I've been able to get to 3 km with no problem with smooth fpv and the signal doesn't break up when it turns around to return to home.

I always throw it on my farm away from interference, and from 300 meters or so I still have problems. and even when playing from the card to the computer, it still hangs
Having nearly ripped off a front leg on a rough landing, when I repaired it I noticed there is like a sensor dangling inside it like a rubber tube with, it seems, a component in it. Yes landing does not always stops the propellers spinning, maybe it has something to do with these? I also noticed to kill the motor is a little like turning the power off on the controller a short press followed by a long one because just pressing the stop does not seem to stop it (that is on the ground or near it)
Great review, lovely to see how much fun you're having creating these vids. Also great vid editing with the animations in it, comme un pro! Next thing is; I miss the subject of protecting your drone. My aim is to use it while horseback riding in forrest, and sailing. So logical questions for me are ; how much noise does it make (horses don't like that), can I add protective bumpers e.g. to avoid collisions with branches, can I add little floaters so it won't drown? I noticed a default return height, does that mean that it will first climb to that height (very important in mountains) and then start returning to its home position? Sorry for all the questions, I find them not easily answered on the web.
I have an SG 107 and whenever I try to use it in the GPS mode it always goes into the toilet bowl thing. I have to fly with the GPS off even though I'm getting 10 and 11 satellite connections. I'm trying to learn how to fly at fpv using the phone but there seems to be a lot of latency I think you fly by line of sight if I'm not mistaken.
Steve, nice review. Wish it had the Opti Flow sensor and dual camera. Still trying to figure out all the differences in the different versions of the F11. Really nice to have the controller to be rechargeable.
Great drone! Pretty stabil good for beginners. I don’t think it’s quite 4K camera 🎥 since it’s a 8Mg camera that’s on it. It’s not bad at all! But even in the SD card it’s like 1280*720p ? I wonder 💭 Top speed should be about 15m/s I got it to 12m/s with wind pushing it in the back 😁. Considering other drones from dji, parrot and other, that are more expensive. You get pretty decent hardware and quality 💪🏼🤙🏼😎 I have made some mods on mine, with other propellers and adapters. Landing gear.. now it’s way better than most drones. Thx for making awesome content and inspiring videos 😎💪🏼

Hi Captain , there are many places in Canada that I would be able to do a range test with that Drone and not bother a single Soul but obviously to post it is where the problem comes , well that is the Law and that is why it is such a Beautiful Country , you have to enforce strict Laws and uphold them , the F11 seems to have a really good camera and I think it runs neck-a-neck with a lot of the other so-called Pro Drones that are really expensive and costly to maintain , having something like this will get the job done with no fuss , nice one as usual , take care Cappy

If you have a DJI drone then you are out of luck because only DJI products work with DJI drones, so you’d have to look at the expensive Smart Controller

Are you certain? The F11S will not take off without a compass calibration. Perhaps you have a version that is not in GPS mode??? very strange.

i sold my sjrc f11 4k pro and saved up, and now i have the mini 2 fly more combo, i actually recommend the bugs 20,12, or 16 over the sjrc f11 4k pro
Let's take a look at the cameras...I think SJRC performs better. What makes you favour bugs?
@@TruthLevel The camera of the bugs is waaay better also the stability in flying it, i experienced a toilet bowl effect in my sjrc i really regret buying it you should buy the bugs, but now i have the mini 2

I recently bought the sjrc f11s, 2 concerns:
1) there is no wire in either antenna on the controller.
2) the signal strength bar on the right only goes half way up.
Should I be concerned about range?
Range is dependant on where you fly. The more interference, the less range.
I just got my F11S. I powered up the drone and connected to the controller a couple of times. Now the ESCs process will not complete. I get the three beeps followed by one long beep but the second long beep will not play, so the drone will not power on. Ever had that happen to a drone?
Did you crash it? The beeps are usually for the 4 motors to ensure they are all connected.

I bought a new f11s pro drone and I have a problem with the controller, after I turned it on for the first time I couldn't turn it off. When I connected it to charging, it turned off and now I can't turn it on, it just says bat 100 pct. I am asking for help. Best regards.
Press ONCE, then Press a SECOND TIME and hold the power button. Do this to turn on and to turn off.

I woulda like to see the fail safe disconnect from the controller Rth, also the connection loss of FPv via phone app, also how it flys in the high wind.. City reception is the big test over noisy metro area.
@spiritualwarrior the first day I got mine it was a very windy day and it handled the wind quite well. I think the wind was over the rating of this drone but it still handled it. As for the failsafe and the fpv I have had a lot of the app crashing when I'm out at a short distance or a far distance. I'm able to reconnect , but for some reason during the app crash the drone does not lose signal to the controller so that's a good thing. Then once you reestablish the fpv and the app you pick up right where you were but there's no loss of signal to the drone. Also I'm not in the city and I've been able to get to 3 km with no problem with smooth fpv and the signal doesn't break up when it turns around to return to home.

It could be that you are flying in an area with too much interference
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 do I have to have the internet data on when I connect the mobile phone to the drone? Do I put in a faster memory card? I always throw it on my farm away from interference, and from 300 meters or so I still have problems. and even when playing from the card to the computer, it still hangs
Having nearly ripped off a front leg on a rough landing, when I repaired it I noticed there is like a sensor dangling inside it like a rubber tube with, it seems, a component in it. Yes landing does not always stops the propellers spinning, maybe it has something to do with these?
I also noticed to kill the motor is a little like turning the power off on the controller a short press followed by a long one because just pressing the stop does not seem to stop it (that is on the ground or near it)

Next thing is; I miss the subject of protecting your drone. My aim is to use it while horseback riding in forrest, and sailing. So logical questions for me are ; how much noise does it make (horses don't like that), can I add protective bumpers e.g. to avoid collisions with branches, can I add little floaters so it won't drown? I noticed a default return height, does that mean that it will first climb to that height (very important in mountains) and then start returning to its home position? Sorry for all the questions, I find them not easily answered on the web.

I have an SG 107 and whenever I try to use it in the GPS mode it always goes into the toilet bowl thing. I have to fly with the GPS off even though I'm getting 10 and 11 satellite connections. I'm trying to learn how to fly at fpv using the phone but there seems to be a lot of latency I think you fly by line of sight if I'm not mistaken.
Steve, nice review. Wish it had the Opti Flow sensor and dual camera. Still trying to figure out all the differences in the different versions of the F11. Really nice to have the controller to be rechargeable.
Great drone! Pretty stabil good for beginners. I don’t think it’s quite 4K camera 🎥 since it’s a 8Mg camera that’s on it. It’s not bad at all! But even in the SD card it’s like 1280*720p ? I wonder 💭
Top speed should be about 15m/s I got it to 12m/s with wind pushing it in the back 😁.
Considering other drones from dji, parrot and other, that are more expensive. You get pretty decent hardware and quality 💪🏼🤙🏼😎
I have made some mods on mine, with other propellers and adapters. Landing gear.. now it’s way better than most drones.

Yes, if the battery is low or you lose connection with the drone it will return to where it took off from.
Hi Captain , there are many places in Canada that I would be able to do a range test with that Drone and not bother a single Soul but obviously to post it is where the problem comes , well that is the Law and that is why it is such a Beautiful Country , you have to enforce strict Laws and uphold them , the F11 seems to have a really good camera and I think it runs neck-a-neck with a lot of the other so-called Pro Drones that are really expensive and costly to maintain , having something like this will get the job done with no fuss , nice one as usual , take care Cappy

If you have a DJI drone then you are out of luck because only DJI products work with DJI drones, so you’d have to look at the expensive Smart Controller
