- Takin it back to the old school when AstroTurf was straight from the future and the astrodome was the temple of Biggio and Bagwell. Not gonna lie I blew that one....spent too much time trying to master the up+square combo....didnt manufacture runs.

When this game came out I was like, the best graphics ever, nothing will ever compare!!!

Nostalgia. My favorite part was being able to throw the ball around for however long after the play was dead. Eventually, you would force a throwing error

I remember figuring out how to steal bases without getting thrown out. If you had two runners on, send the lead runner. When the catcher throws to the base, send the second runner. The infielder will throw the ball to try and nail the tail runner without tagging the lead. But by this time you've sent the tail runner back to his base and all is well.
I still remember the crowd chants like that old lady yelling “DO SOMETHING”😂. Good times!
The first baseball video game I ever played! It got me into watching baseball, before that I found it boring. The intro, the graphics, the soundtrack, the fake ads, & Buck Martinez all contributed to making this a classic
I remember the morning my Dad had bought me this game.
I loved when I put a pinch hitter in that hits from the other side of the plate than the person who I was pinch hitting for and the batter faced opposite from the plate!!

I still have my Genesis and my Saturn, so every now and then I pull out Triple Play Gold or World Series 98 just to see the Dome again. I play Triple Play 99 for the commentary just as much as the gameplay. Seeing the old Lobster Cola sign and hearing the ad for Kaleidoscope Eyes was classic. I wish EA could bring this franchise back give us a baseball game that focuses as much on fun as it does realism.
OMFG I remember this game. It was one of my favorite baseball games. The ones out now, the show, suck by comparison. Although game companies could never get the dome right.
Really, the show sucks compared to this? LOL. This game was so bad, it was arcade baseball and not even good arcade baseball. Back then there were so many choices for bb games and this was one of the worst. It does bring back memories though.

The other day I put this game in my PS3 to try it out. When I started it and saw the logo stretch like in 0:15 I thought there was gonna be something like Fearful Harmony about to happen lol.
Yo I used to play the tits out this game back when I was 10 and shit .lol I am 32 now and it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling watching gameplay still but yo the graphics suck asshole lol
