Six Square House by Young Projects is a contemporary residence in Bridgehampton, designed as six 24'x24' gabled modules that align to create continuity, while their undulating eaves produce varied surfaces and sightlines. Clad in deep gray, slatted Accoya wood, the house forms the nucleus of a property featuring a historic 1850 farmhouse, which serves as a guest house, and a new pool house, gunite pool, and ipe deck. The design nods to Long Island’s historic architecture while reimagining a traditional barn typology. The house is centered around a triangular courtyard, with each module serving a different function and offering diverse views of the landscape. The interior spaces blend together, featuring a neutral color palette and materials like charred Accoya, cedar, white oak, ash, and light marble, achieving a balance between geometric logic and a connection to the overall site.
