Dr given me sodium channel blocker tablet,its worked than nothing but thir are any tritment available or i have to give up

treatment is limited for this disease. physiothraphy might improve the quality of life

My daughter has Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy, her neurologist prescribed her Mexiletine. She only takes 1 ml a day. She gets it compounded. She only takes1 ml because she will loose control of her bladder. It is primarily used as a heart medication but seems to work on her myotonia. She hasn't been taking it long so we don't know the long term effects it has yet. Ask your neurologist abut it. It may work for you.
