  • Last month Vladimir Putin’s most prominent critic, Alexei Navalny, paid the ultimate price for his beliefs, dying in a West Siberian prison after years of relentless campaigning against corruption and a near-fatal poisoning. By the time of his death, Navalny had been imprisoned for more than two years, during which time he wrote to his supporters and the wider world through letters shared on his social media accounts. This is one of the last messages he wrote.
Benedict Cumberbatch joined us to read it at Letters Live at the Royal Albert Hall on 6th March 2024.

@@PeppermintPatties Your hero is someone who wants to destroy your country? Newsflash, these people and likeminded and those who support such people, have already destroyed most western countries from the inside.
They are replacing everything that was good about Western countries, aka European countries and the US, and replace it with evil and awful things. We have nothing left at this point, they have stolen it all from us, even down to our culture and traditions. They even try to rewrite history and our language to fit their insane agenda. The order of the day is language police, speech police and thought police.. If that's what you want your future to be, you should move here to western countries.

It's the same in the West for those, who know and accept that the West cannot afford these wars. They can't print anymore money so the tax payer is funding. The prime suspect, the US with a debt creeping up to $35 trillion dollars, when it was only last month Putin mentioned it was $33 trillion. I don't think people realize, what kind of hell they are inviting in their lives by not paying attention to the real threat that's coming.

I've watched a lot of footage of mourners lining up to pay their respects to Mr. Navalny in the last week. For me one of the most touching moments was when a small crowd was chanting, not loudly but distinctly, "Ukrainians are good people." Such a simple sentiment but also such an act of courage to show that the spirit of humanity is still alive in Russia-that over a century of having their noblest ideals betrayed by cynical politicians has not extinguished that flame. Here's to a Russia that finds strength in friendship with its neighbors instead of destroying them, and where honorable politicians like Mr. Navalny flourish.

Let's be real here, there aren't that many who openly defy Putin. I just read an interesting little Russian joke which underlines this: About 30 % of Russians are alcoholics... the rest is in favor of Putin. The anti-Putin sentiment is strong in educated urban circles. Of which there aren't that many. Russia is a huge country with not a lot of big cities, and people have enough real problems in their life to not care too much about some political prisoner's death. The only thing that might swing opinions over time would be too many husbands and sons dying in a far away war. Then again, with those husbands and sons gone, who is going to do the fighting against the system?

There will be no victory of the people. The people are being destroyed, our culture, our history and our traditions, even our minds through brainwashing and constant lies in our media. Not only do they want to destroy us, not only do they want their tyranny here, they want to make an everlasting global tyranny for everyone, where you are in a prison of the mind from the time you are born, so that you can never even dream of freedom.
That's the system that is coming out from our dear western countries, that's who our regime is, and Russia is just another obstacle in the path of our dreams of world domination to implement this system. This is the sad reality here in western countries. We have no freedoms or democracy, and the regime that has hijacked our countries wage constant wars, destroy countries, kill millions, bomb everywhere, illegal and even unknown wars around the world, outside of international and even national laws.
In the west you're barely even free to say a man is a man anymore or that a woman is a woman, just if you want clarity on how bad things are getting. Nobody here have any representation in government, except foreigners and some "special" minorities. That's all they care about, all they talk about.

Mr Navalny paid the price for telling truth to power. But his defiance and refusal to be cowed is a testament to his humanity and a condemnation of those who sought to silence him. He is gone, but I suspect that his words and his example will live on and, as he says in the letter, 'victory is inevitable'. RIP

Words of a true patriot. Imagine what Russia could become under the leadership of men like Alexei Navalny. For that matter, imagine what the world could become under such leadership. Leaders who actually care about the people they govern more than they care about their own power. Leaders who care about All of the people instead of just the ones who hand them money.

Greed has always been part of leadership, it's ingrained in us.
With the rise of technology and the police state it'll bring we're out of time. There are isn't a single person on this planet that can turn this ship around. We're the only species to have ever existed that is absolutely determined to make themselves obsolete, sooner than later there won't be a need for most of us. The powers know this, and it's why it's looking more unstable worldwide, they want us to try and rise up so they can cull us. And they will cull us.
It's always been plans within plans, but nearly everyone is too distracted by naive hope. There. Is. No. Hope.
