Exactly what Dave jaguar has been saying all week sean bracing before cutting glad you managed to save it I guess that's what happens when you just cut out to much at once. Good to see you back tho mate keep safe Rob
Rob, yes this is exactly what happens when you cut out too much. Dave and I have chatted a fair bit over these types of Jigs and they definitely need to be beefed up
Great to see you back on form and another helpful video.. garage is looking a lot dryer and conditions are easier to work in this time of year... all the best...
Good to see you back mate. Plenty of progress. I bet that door is on your mind all the time until you sort it. Never straight forward with a mini but great video.keep them coming and i will see you for a brew soon
thanks for all your content, ive recently picked up my first mini in 10 years (built them growing up with my dad but pricing kinda put me off for a while) your vids have been helpfull as im also rebuilding a posts/door steps and inner wing/floorboard repairs. i think ive figured out the panels needed/order of fitment thanks to your vids so thanks again. hope to be able to pick your brain from time to time if need be?
Thanks for the positive feedback, it's much appreciated. I'm certainly no expert but I just try and be methodical on my approach to the build and if I can share my experiences here then it may be of some help to others. Thanks for watching, all the best, Sean
@@BMCWorkshop i am certianly thankfull of the vids, if even to see certian parts cut apart that i just plain cant remember from 10+ years ago. im trying to be methodical but the first panel i fettled was actually defective (incorrectl,y bent inner sill attached to floor) so been scratching my head for days, i finally laid it beside the rear half and realized it was a duff panel. but i will get the floor in and tackle the sill in seperate parts i think, then im onto the a pillar, the scary bit! could probably use some advice on panels if you could shoot me a pm? cheers again.
Have you fixed the leaky roof yet? I couldn't see any hearing protection when you were using the angle grinder. Apologies if you were but as I have lost most of my hearing in the left ear and the right isn't too good either its not much fun. I recommend protecting your ears. Being cavalier about it when young has come back to haunt me.
Good to see you working on the Mini again.
Thanks Michael, I really need to restart this project as it's been set aside lately due to work and other commitments. All the best, Sean
That was the loudest silent 'F' bomb ever when the floor dropped. yer gettin there bud. cheers.
LOL Doug, you can clearly hear my thoughts :D
ah , just found this , good job with the bars across the door gap , vital on things without a chassis ,,
Yeah my had to do my best here to maintain the gap and it worked quite well
Great to see you working on the mini again and your videos have been really helpful with my mini restoration.

Thanks for the mention Sean. Great progress, looks like you got loads done.
Thanks Keith, I haven't done as much as I had wanted to do but hey ho, it is what it is as you say lol
It's good to see working Angus again I bet the air was blue after that floor dropped
Stephen, I let out a very silent F that only piper Doug heard and he's on the other side of the world so he must have excellent hearing lol

Good to have you back sean! progress make indeed!

Cheers Stephen :)
sean hi welcome back nice to see you again good video and job 10/10 bob
Thanks Bob!
Should have welded the front wheel arch repair in first so the holes in door Pilar would be in the right place
I was initially going to do this but I didn't want to damage the return edge for the A panel :(

Stewart, I do tend to use ear protection if grinding for long periods but not much protection used in this video :(
Oh the roof has another temporary tarp on it by the way lol
do you use alot of Heritage body panels or non-Heritage parts
I mostly use heritage where possible
