Especially today, Anzac Day, 25 April, we remember Warrant Officer Kevin Conway, Australian Army, a member of the Special Forces team at Nam Dong, killed in action on 6 July 1964.
The US person at 10:05 is exactly what I would have expected, although they were outnumbered in a camp that was not very well prepared by the locals. I admire his attitude and would like to think I would do the same in his situation.
I made a similar comment. Part of it is the old production. The other part is that for whatever Eason Donlon is speaking as low as he possibly can without saying nothing, which I find odd. Not taking anything away from Donlon, but it’s anticlimactic to say the very least, given the context.
This guy’s a passionate speaker isn’t he? He sounds like he’s falling asleep talking about the battle the led to his MOH. Got nothing but respect for all our vets, but this is incredibly anticlimactic.
RIP Col. Donlon. 🙏🏻♥️🇺🇲

Before the escalation... advisers only ...then lbj committed combat troops and the rest
Is history
Only heroes to those with souls. Canon fodder to those serpents that sent them.
RIP Sir.
Too bad that you couldn't hear half of what he said.
Please remember that this is very old audio/video, but there is nothing that you can't hear.

Let’s see, who should have died in prison. Hmm LBJ, McNamara. I serve in Vietnam for 18 months. So I can say this.
Straight up nightmare scenario right here smh
