That's right, a second intro stage. This place happens to be where the Space Colony crashed in X5. More on that when I get to that game. After beating a remake of X2's intro boss, we find ALL of the 8 bosses in the same room, but they don't attack us. Thank god. We are also introduced to Craft. He shall play an important role later. __

No. You proceed to X6-X8. The only problem is there are massive holes in the storyline. The series was suppose to end on X5. X6 is the result of the Eurasia crashing. X7 needs to burn to the ground. X8 introduced the Elevator. But there is no bridge between X8 and the Zero series.

Would be nice if we could get that last game that bridges the gap between Megaman X and Megaman Zero or Megaman and Megman X, but capcom seems content on never giving us closure.

From what I heard, the Zero series was just a possible future of the X series. The canon ending of the X series was supposed to be X5 but we all know it continued after that. The only series that got a direct sequel was the Zero series with the ZX games
