Yeah, it's best to do this to try and get your player heir installed somewhere, and/or just do this while at the same time growing your own empire by declaring war, kidnapping the enemy leader, and forcing surrender.

I'm going to reattach this several times, song with your other guides - there's so much I picked up. Main one is how to target members of an enemy's court. I kept hearing people say they were doing it, but never quite saw how!
My last CK3 playthrough: Sired my murderer, my son, who kidnapped his sister to forcibly marry her. She was betrothed to another (outside our family) so it led to war, hence how I was murdered. Then my inbreeding patricidal son became my character. So I conquered a third of Europe before he was hunted down by the Pope (long horrific story). He was executed (spoilers lol)
So I've been giving this strategy a good go and everything looks right on paper, but time and again, despite only ever going with 90%+ odds my fabricate hooks and murder attempts keep being discovered and I'm revealed as the culprit. Something doesn't seem right. Is it possible my own spymaster is selling me out every time? I have a lot of mods, but can't find anything referenced in any of them that says they might be causing this constant failure?
That does seem strange, someone mentioned in my livestream a week or so ago that they kept having failing schemes that were at 95% i've never had it happen and I've played the game with a bunch of mods, but yeah i suppose it could be one? or maybe some sort of bug? im sorry i got no clear answers for you!
@@SnapStrategy I did notice that it was almost impossible to keep a high positive relationship up with my spy master, it kept slipping down to positive thirties only, which was also odd as no mention of issues, rivalries and the like. However, I still suspect one of my AI mods, as I've also begun to notice nofications of significant people to me dying who are from far flung places that I've never met or interacted with 🤔 Will try an Ironman on my next run through.

Worth noting too, and you might have done it, but I didn’t see it, and honestly with how old your character was at the time, I probably wouldn’t have done it either, but anyway - if you play Catholic, you can get indulgences from the Pope that make “murderer” “adulterer” and “fornicator” and similar ones go away if you didn’t know.
